After purchasing several different sizes of the Trash fish I got a change to use it last weekend, I have to say they are awsome! I have to say its raised my level of fishing, normally at the lake I bring in 1 - 3 lbs bass but using the trash fish I have rasied that to 4.5 - 5lbs. Much bigger class of fish, I know there are bigger ones in there and I'm sure I'm going to be hooking into those soon. Thanks for the videos guys and keep up the good work!

Using a jighook with the 6" fatty was mentioned but nothing else about it. What would be the best jig hook for bumping along gravel/ small rock along with occasional patches of "muck" ? Also for the 6 and 8" which hook setup keeps the bait from rolling on it's side on those slow crawls on bottom?

Hey, the trash fish been getting it done in my high pressured fisheries down here close to san diego. Berkeley came out with the sick fish. Trash fish is a much more flexible swimbait that works great in cold water still has swim at slow speeds under 50 degrees. Berkley sick fish just doesn't perform in cold water.

Mend-it, Mend-it, Mend-it...lol. These get tore up by bass, I can't imagine what Pike and Musky would do to it. I got hardbaits that are tooth riddled from when I lived in Indiana and caught alot of Musky and Pike. I throw pricy baits alot (I-Slides, Defiant, Deps) but don't know if I'd spend $20 to maybe catch just 1 fish before the bait was destroyed. Good luck either way. Just realized this was a 3 yr old post...lol, oh well.

Hey Tim...I picked up a few of these baits to try. My question is regarding the Sunfish with the 5/0 Trokar. The hook point rides pretty low to the bait. Its in the slot but as the 6/0 beast rides basically flush with the top of the trash fish, the Trokar is nestled down pretty far. Any advice? Will this hinder the bite? Not sure I could rig it any differently considering the width of the Sunfish. Thanks buddy.
@ronhuckobey7077 жыл бұрын
What budget rod do you recommend for the 6and 8inch baits? Also the reel for each
@ScuffedEngineer7 жыл бұрын
I can at least give you good options for reels. 6" a casitas and 8" a Cardiff 300. The 6" really just needs a heavy powered rod, Tim said a 4-5 power rod so. You could use a Dobyns Fury 795 for the 8" since it should be within it's true working range of under 3-3.5oz.
@romanianbushido7 жыл бұрын
So how long do these typically last if you use Mend-It (which is really a must have itself)?
@tacticalbassin7 жыл бұрын
Quite a while. Of course you can get an especially brutal fish that mangles a bait but in general you're going to catch a lot of fish on a bait with mend it.
