I still remember watching this video and a couple other similar when I was pretty young. I would come back from school, get my iPhone 5 and my wired airbuds and jam out in my room to these halo songs in my room alone haha, or I would be jumping around pretending I was a spartan dodging bullets. Or whenever I would do some stupid shit and my parents would get mad and I would run to my room and listen to these songs while under my covers crying. So much has changed in 11 years, some good things, some bad things. I don’t really know what I’m saying… I don’t know what I’m feeling… nostalgia? Am I just tired? Is that why I’m getting emotional about this? I mean, it’s just a bloody halo song, yet I still care so much about this song, it impacted me a lot growing up, weirdly helped me in a lot of different ways.

From what I heard from my sister, this song isn't only about physical struggles and wars, but also our emotional, mental, and even spiritual struggles and wars as well. The line "The fight is done, the war is won" literally almost brought me to tears earlier tonight. Silver Elite if you think about it each members death was ironic. Jorge was the demolishions expert, he died in an explosion. Kat was the brains, shot in the head.
