This is actually very useful for certain civilian clothing that mimics the cloth type and cloth weight materials of an OCP uniform. Nothing wrong with looking sharp when traveling.

Been out of the Army now for almost 10 years and I still roll my jeans this way for work as a traveling low voltage/fiber foreman. Works like a charm and you can shove work socks and your rolled work shirt in the pant leg to snug up the pouch and keep things snugged up together. Saves a good amount of space in my duffel bag. HOOAH.
