I did one recently, Was fifth in my division and traded for Nick Schmalzt at the deadline, we got in and he lead the team and was scoring like crazy, but we lost in G7 overtime to the eventual champs. We got the Calder cup tho

Questions when drafting the team. Is it best not to draft the best player available on each team? Salary cap wise? And is it best the draft players that have multiple years of control?

Very circumstantial. Ideally you're getting the highest value player from each team (not necessarily ovr) while still remaining below the salary cap

Real talk, as a guy who works in SLC and has season tickets to the Grizz…there is absolutely no fanbase for an NHL team here. Its going to end up being a tourist attraction similar to Vegas and be an added reason for why we should host the winter olympics. Thats great and all, but I wouldn’t want the NHL team to turn into the Jazz where we can barely fill half an arena. Id rather see Saskatchewan and Houston get a team. At least there, you are going to have diehard fanbases.

I'm not a fan of a lot of the ratings. I'd take laf over M. Pettersson any day but for some reason he's rated lower. And I don't mean for potential but how they are right now I'd still take laf. Then again I am biased bc I prefer offensive defensemen over defensive defenseman but still I think laf is way better. Also I am an isles fan too.

For me yeah I promoted the grizzlies and made the Utah Grizzlies with correct arena etc. Realism and small details like that are key for me. For my Houston expansion I made an ahl team for Austin.
