Amazing collection dude! Has to be one of the best retro gaming collections on KZbin. As a big Nintendo collector myself I can totally appreciate the condition and display of all those games. Thanks for sharing 😁👍🏼

Hey welcome back. I appreciate the kind words. Condition really means a lot to me personally, I feel like collecting is also about preserving the intergrity of the games so I really try to avoid beat up stuff. But I also see the benefit financially to grab stuff a little beat up but it is just not for me.

I just use Thumb Tacks. I hang the amiibos from the opening in the box so I am not damaging the box its self. If I feel the box is to heavy like Detective Pikachu I then stick a extra tack or so at the bottom for the box to rest on so the top tab is not taking so much of the weight.

3 of my most rare and expensive SNES games are Dragon Quest V, Dragon Quest VI and Final Fantasy V put out by a small retro gaming company called Timewalk Games. Did this company have any connection to Nintendo? When did these games come out? The 3 games I mentioned were released in Japan for the Super Famicom but not in the U.S. In the 1990's as far as I know. These games were originally English translated ROMs playable on an SNES emulator on a computer. This Timewalk game company put out these English translations on SNES reproduction carts with reproduction SNES labels in boxes that look like original SNES boxes. Do you have any of these Timewalk games or any others this company produced? I have a LOT of my gaming friends searching for these Timewalk games but can't find them for sale on eBay or any retro gaming store. I wonder how many games this company released and if they were only English translated RPGs that never came out originally for the system. ..
@tadpole13133 жыл бұрын
I am familiar with Time Walk. They were one of the best if not the best companies on the market for these reproduction cartridges. They made great box art and would even go the extra mile to do manuals and posters etc. I remember when you ordered something from them it would take somewhere between 8 to 12 weeks or something like that as they would put everything together from scratch upon order. I personally ordered the Super Mario World Return to Dinosaur land from them and had every intention of also getting Starfox 2 at the time. So I ordered Mario and I was going to wait til I received that before making the order for starfox 2. During that period of waiting for Mario they announced they were closing due to wanting to spend more time with family and there real jobs. (Most speculate they had pressure from bigger companies and potential lawsuits so they made the wise move to get out of it) I was fearful they were not going to send the Mario but to my surprise they finished the active orders they had. Time Walk are really sought after today as they are still some of the best aftermarket games available. To answer your question of how many games I do not know. But I believe they closed down back in 2013 or 2014.
@ealswytheangelicrealms3 жыл бұрын
Tadpole1313 - Another gamer here messaged me the Timewalk games are super rare because it was a 2 man operation and they produced very few games. He said the games sell for $500 now because of rarity. Only reason I have them is because they had English translations of Super Famicom RPG games that never came out for the Super Nintendo. It is the only way I could play Final Fantasy V, Dragon Quest V and VI in English.

I have a lot of duplicates from buying games in bulk back in the day from time to time. At the time a lot of those games wernt worth much for example Donkey Kong Country was a $4.99 game. So I just tossed the games in my collection appose to selling them as the time and effort was not worth it. Now a days I should downsize but haven't got around to it. I am living in Japan for work at the moment which is pretty nice

Hi, It has been a long time... Awesome room tour. Great SNES games, you just need to get "Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3", "Super Street Fighter II" and "Street Fighter Alpha 2" Love the Mortal Kombat Poster from the beginning of the Video. ;-)

Hey thanks for coming back and checking out the video. I know in the past you wanted to check out the Super Nintendo games I have so I am happy you got a chance to see it this time around. The UMK3 I have loose but have not been able to track down a mint complete in box copy at a good price like I would prefer. for the other games I do have them all complete in box for the Super Famicom later in the video. Defintely some good titles on the Super Nintendo/Super Famicom.

Yeah, I prefer to see clean tight collections over mass hoarding messes. I clicked on this "collection" out of ALL the posted collections because the thumbnail intrigued me with its very organized shelved games.
@tadpole13137 жыл бұрын
I am glad it caught your eyes. I always love to see the different set ups people have because everyone organizes stuff in there own original ways. I especially like the videos were people have less room then me but somehow make it look very organized. Not sure if you watch the game chasers but they just did a new updated room tour and I was actually shocked at the set up they had and the appearance. I recommend checking it out.

Where did you get all of those plastic protector sleeves for your games?

Sorry it has taken so long to respond. I purchase all the protective sleeves from a company called Retroprotection.com. The guy that owns it is great and easy to work with.

you have some amazing wow collection. shame that some games only come download. i hate that i like physical copy so that means i own it digital game mean i will never own it. are you not worried about digital download?
@tadpole13135 жыл бұрын
Oh I am worried about the future. As such a big physical guy I dread the idea of so much of ths future going digital. But sadly there is not enough people like us who care for the well being of physical media as so many people prefer digital now a days

You should take that middle wall down and just make one big door and room.
@tadpole13137 жыл бұрын
Sadly I am just renting the place as I would love it that was one giant room. However I would actually lose out on a bunch of space by doing that as I utilize that wall on the game room on the right side and the closet is packed. Not sure how or where I would put all that stuff if that wall was not there.

ktulu084 The name of the shelf is Atlantic Media Elite Tower. Really good shelf for what it holds but kinda cheaply made.

Not taking away from this dude’s cool and crisp collection....but our inventory dwarfs this something fierce! We started in 1999 and had a small chain in Montana. Now we have just one store and we never did online sales...so our brick and mortar inventory is epic!

FUN TRADE Well, you have a store. Of course you would have more inventory than an individual collector, lol.

moveit987 Yeah it is pretty nice. I wish it took up less space at times but ai love the appearance and how it looks. So I can't complain about that. In the future I will move again, not sure where but would love to have a large basement set up for sure.

I collect for the ps3 not going for a complete set but trying to get games that I actually will play., in the 132 number. I would love to collect every game but dam that would be expensive... How do you afford all these. I think I enjoy more the hunting for rare games than actually playing them or buying them from the store
@tadpole13137 жыл бұрын
adem It is expensive for sure. Just years of collecting led to this. I am a sucker for rare games as well. PS3 was a fun system and a lot of cheaper titles at the moment make it fun to collect for I am sure.

could i ask what you do for a living that you were able to afford all of this, whenever i see collections this prestine and full i just go crazy thinking about how someone has this kind of disposable income. i've been collecting for over 20 years and i've got a pretty nice collection, but only the absolute most important games to me are cib and the boxes tend to be in pretty rough shape and i like to think i do pretty well financially, i know it's kind of a personal question but i have to ask
@tadpole13137 жыл бұрын
Bud Fahnestock I am currently in the US Military. Honestly I probably spend more money than any person should on Video Games. I have a handful of other Military friends who also collect video games but most don't collect at the rate I do. I use to be loose cart collector only and of course disc based games were with the cases however in 2013 I changed the way I collected and focus primarily on complete in box games which has really how my collection has turned out over the past few years
@budfahnestock24187 жыл бұрын
Tadpole1313 wow, kudos to you for your collection then, shows serious dedication and commitment. I understand there's different levels of income but whenever I see something like this I assume trust fund kid or something. I have a few vets that are friends and a few in my family and know what they live off of and it may be decent but nothing like these guys that are able to buy there complete collections in a couple years. Well not to sound cliche but thanks for what you do and keep collecting!

@tadpole13137 жыл бұрын
My job pays for the move so I was able to get a moving company to move it for me. Everytime I move I freak a little as a lot of people stuff come up missing in transit. Thankfully I have not had to much come up missing on my end.
@EternalReplicant6 жыл бұрын
Yeah I totally would be on edge too during each move with that big of a collection haha especially with some of the rare things I have, but I'd probably be too nervous not to have them on my carry-on luggage. Sorry for such a long gap, I recently got let go from my job in the states here and I just remembered this post for some reason. So because of that I've been seriously considering on starting the steps to move and work in Japan but I've been rattling my brain on how I'd be able to get my collection and other stuff overseas which made me think back to this. Whether to just take some essentials of my collection on the plane and leave the rest in the states, or find a place to house them all over in Japan. Not to mention all my consoles too... Hm. Anyway, sorry to ramble, just getting my thoughts out! haha
