It's not safe enough to 'come out' pre-enlistment as the military has a law against 'sodomy' and that means jail time if caught so I doubt Taekook will take that risk. After enlistment...? Maybe... I don't consider S.Korea as a safe place for any LGBT+ person to be 'out' in to be honest but it's certainly legally safer for men after serving in the military and by 'after' I mean completely finished serving and fully discharged. Also... guys, please remember Dispatch is not on our side, they are simply riding along. They are primarily a gossip rag (especially when it comes to idols). I worry that they might try and 'out' Taekook while they are serving. I just don't trust Dispatch at all. While I remember... if Dispatch do any coded tweets about Taekook pease don't send messages like 'expose them' (I've seen tweets and instagram messages like that before from people). It's up to BTS (especially Taekook themselves as to how and when they 'come out'), not to mention the fact that it's social suicide as it is for the average person nevermind someone who is an idol. If and when Taekook 'come out' it wouldn't just be that, it would be seen as a 'dating scandal' and we know how comments about those usually look. In conclusion, they are definitely going to stay 'in' a few years longer for their own safety so let's not be too impatient, especially during military enlistment years as it will be the least safe time for them. Sorry for the essay but I just want Taekook to be safe first and foremost (I worry about them a lot).

Tbh I think Dispatch would have already outed them if it wasn't for Bighit paying them to keep quiet. A couple years ago Dispatch said they were going to announce a gay couple (and they seemed serious about it, they even said they were preparing for the lawsuit that would inevitably happen as a result) and all the hints they gave matched Taekook, but for some reason Dispatch never went through with it. I think this is because Bighit stopped them. It is quite obvious Bighit has some sort of deal going on with Dispatch, even non-shippers and fans of other groups have noticed this.

It's been a year since this was made, and I think we still probably have another year or two before a solid announcement if one will be made about any of them. They still have goals they want to accomplish. They are #1 in the world, nominated at the Grammy's and we know they want to win one, and they have brought awareness of Korea and their culture to the whole world. But I think it is bigger than that. I think the group as a whole realized, a few years back, that they could possibly be in a position to not just break records and make history, but to change the world. I think they as people, using the platform of music and the microphone of being BTS, are committed to a bigger goal than even any of us could imagine. Homophobia and xenophobia are rampant all over the world. Homosexuality is illegal in Korea. Some Americans refuse to even listen to their music because it is not in English. I honestly believe before any of them would come out, whether as one of the ships to say it is real or even just to openly admit they are gay, they as a group have a mission to break down these archaic abusive attitudes. I think they know it is going to take a lot of work, a long time, and that they won't be able to do it alone. I believe they will do all they can do to influence this change to help the world move towards equality and acceptance of others and then when they have done all they can, I believe they will feel free enough to finally truly be open and happy. They know they are going to get backlash and hate, so I think they are looking long term at the bigger picture of making the world a better place for ARMYs and people everywhere before allowing themselves this. When Korea legalizes, and Idols are free to love who they want without being ended, and POC are accepted in Kpop, and those Grammys are won, then, then they will be free of their burden and we will know. 💜💜💜 Love them so much and we just all want them to be as happy as they make us. 😁
