This video made me feel very warm, and a little bittersweet. My 할아버지 passed away about a year ago. Unlike yours, he lived in California with my family, so I got to see him every other week. But because I didn’t grow up speaking Korean with my parents, I never got to have a full, real conversation with him. That’s something I didn’t realize until too late, when he had grown weak. This video for me feels like the interaction with my grandparents I never had. It’s so nice to see your grandparents so healthy and strong! It’s clear that they love and care for you very much despite barely being able to see you.

Damn, I missed this upload. Nathan, I wanted to say that I had two roommates in college that were both from Korea. Hye-sung from Seoul, and Ye-Lim from a smaller town (I can't remember). Anyways, those were the best years of my life. They taught me all the naughty words (boji and jaji LMAO), watched Train to Busan drunk, cried at My Sassy Girl (well, I did), and it was just so fun to learn about their culture. I want to visit them (went back to Korea after college) some day to re-live the good times we had together. This video hit me right in the feels with just the warm feelings I got when watching and reminded me of my very good friends. Love that you did this, and very glad that you shared your grandparents with us!
