Taemin has such experience in stage production and camera work and everything because of his solo concerts where he literally works on every single detail with the production team, so yeah it really shows here. He is a very mature and complete artist at this point and he knows how to execute his artistic vision. I hated SuperM stages where I couldn’t see anything, but thank God in his solo work Taemin takes responsibility for everything and that’s why we have this high quality result. Mad respect for Taemin for being an artist of such caliber!

I love how ever since Move, he's really fully embraced having an androgynous concept/image and breaking typical gender stereotypes in choreo by including both masculine AND feminine aspects in his choreos (ty Koharu!). I know that it was something he previously struggled coming to terms with (esp. when he had long hair during 2010-2012) and disliked being considered "feminine". Something that bothers me is when the female backdancers for male performers are only used for simple eyecandy/sex appeal, and don't actually get to dance or are only relegated to "easy" moves while the guys get the harder moves (unless it somehow suits the song's concept). With Taemin's choreos, they frequently have both male and female backdancers performing BOTH masculine and feminine choreography. Even before Move, he had female backdancers for Danger (pretty "masculine" choreo) performing the same choreo as the others, same with male dancers with Want (more feminine aspects in choreo). Backdancers in the industry GO HARD so I always love seeing them be able to go all out rather than be restricted by their gender on what kinds of choreos they can perform.

Yes yes yes!!! You’ve said so eloquently what I’ve been thinking about so ages! I love Taemin for a bunch of reasons but this right here is a very important one (well, I guess, two: embracing non-gender-specific aesthetic and choreography, and giving his female dancers sharper, more aggressive choreos.
