Back then, people didn't really care much about the # of views no matter how popular the artist is. We just appreciated pure talent & music. We were already happy by simply (enjoying) watching their videos & holding banners during their concerts. I think the biggest thing before was the Daesang award. Do you know why these songs don't get a lot if views? Because nowadays people only care about achievements so it doesn't matter if the songs is good not not, just stream.. which didn't happen back then. 2nd gen was 💯 the best gen of kpop.
