To continue what Anonymous explained… Taeyang chose the winner to sing with him. They only had 1 hour to practice before performing live. I saw a clip that shows them practicing. This is why you see the amazement of the people on the panel, she is a fan who performed with her idol and she was amazing. I don’t know if you know Winner but Yoon was one of the panel members that the camera kept showing. They are YG 3rd gen and Taeyang/GD were their mentors.

No. actually It's a show where many Non- singers had to compete themselves and the best among them will get a chance to sing (duet) along with the original Singer.

The contestants are Fans of that celebrity singer that were invited onto the show. The singer pick and eliminate the one they want to stand on a Duo stage with them in the end. She is a fan who entered this show and battled with other fan contestants, for a chance to sing with their idol.
