I love the funk elements in this song and I was surprised the amount of MJ in the song and mv!! Like before the chorus drops i recognize that beat from Bruno's songs but obviously funk has been around awhile its just where my mind went. I didn't even think of the jacket,but yea the tippy toes pose and idk if on purpose but when jimin sings "Before you my world was in disconnection" at the end sounded like he said MJ. I know its Korean, but i wasn't sure if purposefully did a play on words. Then towards the end at like 10:43 he did go higher and this breathy drop like MJ would do. Overall this song was a vibe😅🥰 Also I tried to see what the rain effect was and I'm not quite sure the equipment, but i think maybe similar to their yet to come stage where they had this screen in front the stage so effects like the butterflies and the whale. this where in the end had these twinkly stars and the city when jimin came in frame. I been meaning to look into what exactly it is.

Love your observations: As a 55 yr old Army Mom - just wanted to clarify. The beat leading into the chorus was not 'MJ'. Might've sounded familiar for those of us heavily into 80's boy bands and you were right to name Bobby Brown. It came from his initial BB 'New Edition'. When they broke up...three members recorded the famous song 'Poison'. That drum riff leading to the chorus was lifted from it. Hence why it sounded so 'familiar'. Tae is practically 10 yrs older than Chim Chim and (smart decision) incorporated many older influences of RnB from the 80's/a homage from drum beats to dance moves (aka MJ) to reach a vast audience. Either way - Epic....

Hi, i am back. Great reaction, ty. That is strange I agree. I would not put it past YT to do that. Tsk. So I know Taemin is Jimin's pal but he is also an idol Jimin looks up too besides Taeyang(of Big Bang). Taemin has a lot of solo's and I recently started checking him out more. Taemin is now my bias actually. 😅 Jimin got so much inspo from him but he is still a different artist. It's so fascinating to see the similarities and differences. yeah every time bts posts new music whether group, solo or collab youtube has a conniption and freezes the views then proceeds to delete them this is the worst ive seen it in a long time though i remember when idol was released and they deleted 80 million views armys literally watched it just disappear back then. they seriously hate bts and try to silence their success as much as possible. we thought since its on another channel it would be fine but we shouldve known since sexy nukim and rush hour also froze. but 4,000 is ridiculous.

I love this song so much. It's amazing. The MVs a bit bland but I don't care since I'd rather see them perfom it anyway. I wasn't a fan of Taeyang's hair at the beginning either. I wish he had it like it was at the end or just simply slicked back because it looked better that way. But just my opinion - he's still beautiful. I don't understand why some people don't like this song. I believe what happened with the views has to do with the algorithm. People always accuse KZbin of "freezing the views" as if anyone in KZbin has the time to search the billions of videos that get uploaded and choose one to bully. What's actually happening is that the KZbin algorithm is investigating the views. Back when KZbin was first introduced monetization, there were dicks who started cheating the system to get more money by using bots to stream their videos. When KZbin found out they added a bot detector to the algorithm. So when the algorithm detects a large number of views at once or the same account watching the same video over and over again, it freezes the views and scans them to look for fake bot views. It's still counting the views though while it's doing it. Once it's scanned the views, it'll delete any fake ones and then add all of the real views back to the count. It's not uncommon for a video to freeze at 4k views and then 30 minutes later suddenly the view count says 2 million. So no worries, the views the video earned will be added back. But we K-POP stans are a special breed and we confuse the KZbin algorithm.

This is late but youtube changed their view counting algorithm & holds back views to review they aren't bots. all music videos views are kinda slow & frozen the first few hours of release then they'll add the held back views over time.

Girl, Youngbae is not my bias in BB, Seungri is, but damn, I always loved his voice. The song reminds me so much of "1AM" and "Wake me up".
