Is it one of those songs that at first I find weird af but then a few days later I will randomly sing to during the day??? Yeah, most probably lol This is somewhat what I would describe as "chaotic good" lol The song is definitely a lot at first but it's gets catchier and catchier! I think I could have done without the whole kwangya thing, though I understand why its here, it makes sense lol
I so loved the metaphors with the animals and the zoo obviously! It's giving me king and queen of the jungle and conqueror of every elements lol earth, water, fire, air nsnsnsn
This 4th* gen is truly incredible and SM's rap line has evolved to being truly solid and that is a proof of it!
*and 3rd gen then, completely forgot nct debuted much earlier than I remembered lol

This song is included in the smtown album, and they're talking about zoo referring to the word kwangya itself which means wilderness, which is why the zoo/animal theme is here, so if there's any song that should have kwangya in the lyrics, this is the song. kwangya is very necessary for this song because they're basically talking about it

It always confuses me why "kwangya" being in SM songs bothers people so much sometimes haha bc it literally just means wilderness in korean, but they're using it for their concept so it fits this song perfectly since it's about being wild like animals. I think it's a very fun addition to have, really sets SM's concepts apart from other groups and its' fun to see. NCT are my ult group and Aespa my favorite girl group at the moment so this song and stage really was awesome to see. Aespa and NCT are practically sibling groups with how experimental their music sound is and I love seeing Giselle kill it up there with the neos. Taeyong chorographed this song with Bada Lee and they did a fantastic job, the choreo and dance challenge have been going viral lately. And not just that, but I think it suited the other members well (something Taeyong is very good at, when he choreographed Bring The Noize for 127 as well, he made sure the members parts suited them best) and I think Jeno and Yangyang in particular showed out in this stage. Hendery as well, the energy everyone had was great, always entertaining to watch them on stage. Also, Yangyang actually made some of the animal noises that they added into the instrumental lmao

The mixes between groups, generations etc is one of the highpoints of SMTown concerts for sure, it's all about the interaction and duets/mixed groups. Btw the KWANGYA part is actually good if it’s not written as kwangya but translated as wilderness. Considering they’re saying they’re wild in the wilderness, the instincts, like a zoo..etc... it’s one of the rare times it’s actually fitting the context of lyrics.

Zoo was supposed to not have its own performance like no choreo at all and just be a b-side of the sm winter album but then according to Taeyong on his recent fan video call, he feels like it will be a waste not to have one. With this, he asked the company if he could provide a performance to the song. So glad he did because zoo choreo is still trending on tiktok garnering 100M+ of views after the dance practice was dropped on taeyong's instagram. Additionally, this song has really grown on me especially since Taeyong, Hendery, Jeno, Giselle and Yangyang did well with their lines. Taeyong, Giselle and Jeno also did great with writing the lyrics and playing with the words, incorporating zoo and wilderness stuff into it.
