Fishing One of THE BEST BEACHES in the UK!

In this Totally Awesome episode Graeme braves the traffic of the M25 and heads 3 hours down to Kent, to fish Dungeness beach. He had Cod in mind, but overnight the wind dropped, the sea went flat, the water cleared...everything you don't want for shore Cod....but he persevered and ended up getting amongst some fish. I'll admit I used to be one of the bad ones that used to be a bit mean about you, I apologise for that, you have grown on me. I actually find you very entertaining these days. When you said "I'm one of these that gets bored easily" I honestly spat my beer lol. Yes your definitely one that gets bored easily, and luckily for us!. Hope I have half the energy and pure fishing passion you have in 20 or so years time. I could do with a slice of it now if I'm honest. I think with these vids you have a chance of going down in the book of "THE GREAT" British anglers, and what an amazing legacy, wish you all the best and one day hope to have the honour of fishing the same bank. I like to fish the beach at Pevensey. Arrive at High tide (usually about 6 - 7pm) Fish the tide right down. Had some great fishing. Usually the other anglers go shortly after high tide! Most amazing fish a 3lb flounder - way down the tide!

Depends how old you are I guess,it was always called a slack liner(check old fishing books) before fashions changed and here comes "Drop back"...The drop back actually comes from the Carp and Pike world when the bobbin indicator drops as a fish moves towards you. Slack liner is a shore fishing term.

It's a wonderful unique place isn't it . You can fish freshwater a short way from there in a large lake by the power station if your ever staying near there for a few days. Oh and a trip on the small railway there is a must too Graham!

Know your stuff Graham-like the point no fish close in on the shingle, take it someone local said that so no one fishes that way anymore, similar where I fish when on the north east beaches-no one uses huge baits I use 2 rods one with a big bait & if anyone sees the big bait usual crack is what your trying to do knock the fish out when you hit the water, again no one fishes this way & no one knows the bass I catch so don't tell them:)

Brilliant l just got back from Charmouth doing a bit of late night fishing. You never know what’s going to come out. I’m sitting there nice and quiet when loads of white bait and l do mean loads jumped out onto the beach. I did not see what spooked them but l got loads of white bait. Keep at it and great video

What foot wear do you use for your sea & pike fishing (as both look similar) - walking boots or wellies as i’ve never once heard you complain about cold or wet feet - well wet feet when you fell in the river that time 😂

Trespass Tres-Tex. I have an insole fitted to help with the old joints ,they appear waterproof(the boots,not the joints) but they are quite heavy. Not great for the" yomp" down Chesil beach for a mile and half with full kit and cameras.The freshwater pair are Hi-Tech waterproof and lighter.Only had them a while,but it seems they are not as waterproof as the claim makes.Maybe showerproof but not great going through long wet grass. Mike is the one to ask about boot kit .Go over to our sister channel T.A. Outdoors and message him. He knows all the makes.( Amazon gave him his own delivery van !!! )

Wonderful as always, great video's, this is exactly what I like about beach fishing, when you lit the stove it was a LOL moment, I nearly spat my tea out, It's the same in Cumbria at present, just getting battered with whiting, saves the blank but I think I will start to leave them out longer, great tips as always, TAFishing has helped me a lot and got me back into beach fishing again.

You are indeed correct.That night one was right behind my beach shelter making a sort of chirping noise.I actually thought it was a weird bird and put the headlamp on.It was a fox,and really close as well. I imagine they do pretty well on the fishermen's leftover bait after a weekend.

Bro i searched on google it said no licence required for fishing Although sea fishing does not require a licence all sea fish have a minimum landing size (in order to protect stocks) and several species are protected by law, meaning anglers must return any which are caught. Anglers ignoring these rules can face prosecution if they are caught

@@salahaddin1890 thanks for answering me, in spain you need a licence for fishing in sea or in river thats why I was asking, but the sea licence is so cheap that people dont care buying it. In spain also you need to respect the minimum size and also there are a few species protected by law (some sharks)... And I have one more question: is legal to catch crabs in UK? In spain is prohibed unless you work in a fishing boat and you have some licences really dificult to adquire. Again thanks for answering and sorry for my english.

Check out a couple of Mike's shore fishing sorties for mackerel ,they will work the same from the pier..best way to beat your Dad is keep sending him off to the pier shop for more Candy Floss/Baits/soft drinks etc. But space it out every five minutes so he has to keep going back.

I enjoy your videos a lot...just a thought though...the whiting and dabs you put back should really be put back gently to swim away, not thrown from a distance. And the dab that was foul hooked through the chest should have been dispatched or used as bait not chucked back. Otherwise very good videos.
