My son is almost 2 years old and he and I are obsessed with this song. We have very enthusiastic dance sessions to it every night when I come home from work. I always wondered who this Zambo character was and what the song was about. Here is the song in it's original film context I finally found it online. I was a little disappointed actually that the song is kind of poking fun at primitive religion but then again it is meant to be a dream sequence and a campy erotic one at that, certainly American films in the 70's were just as insensitive about making fun of other cultures. Nonetheless, the song contains some incredible energy and I love everything about it. Watch the opening sequence of the film also for some more amazing chanting over analog synths.

I love Metal with all my heart, and this is still a thousand times better than boring Avenged Sevenfold. Branch out a bit. At least listen to some Meshuggah or Intronaut or something. At least they're trying to do something a bit different. Better yet, listen to some Ruins or Magma or something. It might open your mind a bit.

I appreciate the uploader for great work back in 2012 i discovered your channel in 2020 and find your uploads interesting. I am from india so i can say all tracks of LIFE IS DANCE are heavily inspired from indian musician Kalyanji Anandji,SD Burman, & RD Burman who where also inspired from western music in there times. Life is dance all the tracks being inspired contains dozens of sounds in opening and in between shifting from one to another and are not refined as much as indian musician did with minimal inclusion of sounds. Here the musicians seemed confused due to availability of whole bunch of sounds what to include and what not resulting in average musical arrangements. Still as 70's disco lover i really liked the collection but as a indian music listener cant ignore the shortcomings. Pakistani musicians are equally talented as Indians but the final execution they fail.

Typically an indian biased comment. We can understand your problem. ha ha ha. Biggest copycats of the world who stole musics even from Charlie Chaplin movies! Bollywood musicians mentioned by you are the leaders in this with a lot of copiers from later generations. RIP Bollywood.

+Satyajeet Chafekar for God's sakes, 99 percent of your RD Burman's tunes were copied from West and Pakistan.. This song is a unique gendre of Pakistani filmi music of 70s and 80s.. which Bollywood cannot even imagine to make..

keywords/ phrases are 'sakes, 99 percent copied from west and pakistan ,unique gendre, bollywood cant even imagine doing it ' noted down for reference. thanks for the rhetorical reply without any evidence which had it been shown to me i would probably have changed my opinion. i do agree that many indian songs are copied from west. also yes this song is pinnacle of excellence and pakistani music is the best of all it will remain so till eternity
