Assalamu'alaykum, Refers to Surah Ali Imran:7. we must reintepert to understanding the correct meaning of Sariy (small stream). That is the amnion fluid began flows. And the trunk of date palm is another word for her thigh, and It will let fall fresh ripe dates upon you is another words for let the baby born. Now, we can clearly understand that ayah. It is a guidance to Maryam how to give birth. and to all womens too. . In Surah Maryam ayahs 23-25. It is a continous moment . Subhanallah.

@ budi santosa. I think the scholar knows better.If Allah in Quran say it was a date palm, it was then a date palm; there is no substitute.
