Hadith that summarises virtues 37:00 39:10 Names of Surah Mulk 37:48 when a Surah has more than one name, shows 38:28 greatness of that Surah. Makki or Madani Surah? Surah Mulk is a late Makki Surah. What is this: "Makki"/ Makki is revealed before hijra and Madani is after hijra. Makki Surahs generally deal with aqeedah to raise eeman as first coming, Madani Surahs add with commandments. "late"/ Earlier Makki Surah is softer as first coming and later Makki Surah is more bold and assertive as kuffars are still rebellious. 41:19 Context of revelation No authentic reason why but this is mercy from Allah. Surahs split in two categories: revealed due to something and revealed just because. Central message of Surah Mulk 44:38 from the first verse/ entire dominion to the last verse/ juusstt.. water. 46:30 humbles you, reminds you all affairs with Allah. Surah at-Talaq> Surah at-Tahrim> Surah Mulk: Connections Q. why this specific arrangement? how to connect topics together? a) End of Surah at-Talaq shares about the Knowledge of Allah and Ability of Allah Surah at-Tahreem follows and expands on Knowledge of Allah. Surah Mulk follows this and expands on Ability of Allah. b) Beginning of Surah Mulk shares purpose and existence of Creation= to be tested to see who is better in deed. links to... two Surahs read before End of Surah at-Talaq shares two women who failed test - wife of Lut AS and wife of Nur AS had the best of companionships yet both sided with disbelievers. End of Surah at-Tahreem shares two righteous women who passed the test - Asiya (.) had worst of companionships yet sided with the believers, and Maryam (.) had no evidence to prove her honour and dignity yet remained steadfast on Islam. = 56:42 55:20 53:20 not about your environment but what you do with it. c) at-Tahrim means to make matters impermissible. al Mulk follows to show Who makes tahreem and legislates.
