I think it was around 40 in total, I also healed up a fair bit but I still had a lot of leftover potions from past eq bundles

I'd recommend checking out the first episode of this series, as it gives an in-depth explanation of the ruleset. Basically, I can only use champions if they have a tag that I have unlocked, and I can only unlock new tags by completing story content. It means I have to be careful with which tags I choose, as I will be able to use some champions, but lose access to others.
