FOR REAL! My school bus, mostly black, developed a tradition of jumping up and singing this song every-time, and I mean every-time the bus stopped to let a kid off, only to go quiet the bus started moving again, only to repeat it again. This was 1994-1995 in a sub-urb outside of Atlanta. While I wasn't into it back then, I did like it and thought it was funny and cool. If nothing, a fun and unnecessary act of defiance.

Yo I was 11 years old when this dropped. I remembered my parents wouldn't be around and when it came on the radio I would instantly turn the volume up super loud and me and my little brothers would start jumping on the bed going crazy all over the house. I remember feeling so tired and kind of embarrassed with myself every time the song would end. I kind of lay there and wonder if what just happened was cool or not. Hahahah. I totally forgot about that til just now. It's crazy how music can bring back those memories. Things were so much different back then. Waiting for certain songs to come on the radio and this was the biggest one of the year! Dope!!!! Still get hyped to this day!

I had to tell you, I've got such happy memories of this song. My son and only child, who passed away in September 2022, and I would get up and dance whenever we saw this on MTV (he was about 4). You know, back in the day when MTV still played music. So thank you!

Geico brought me back too. Brilliant!!! I wish modern hip hop would go more old school similar to this genre. Much more palatable for me and I'll bet whoever does will be incredibly successful.

I haven't heard this song in god-who-knows how many years. She loves the commercial so I showed her the videos. How did I remember basically every lric? Some songs are just imprinted into our brains. Okay, so... I'm gonna go listen to Summertime by Fresh Prince and Jazzy Jeff.
