I make it every Easter to carry on family tradition! I look forward to Easter just for that reason...it's my favorite! We do make ours a bit different, but i was told every family kinda made it their own so of course i follow our family recipe. We are from Aragona as well :) Buona Pasqua everyone!

Yes it seems as generations pass, Grand old recipes seem to vanish with no one carrying them forward. We have several in our family which I would like to keep alive and going for other generations to enjoy. This being one of them!

OMG, you don't know how thrilled I am to find this video of how to make Taganu. My dad's mother, who passed away when I was 6, made this every Easter, and we were fortunate enough for her to pass it on to my mother, but it wasn't until much later in my life (I'm now 60, haha), that I've been wanting to bring this back to our Easter table. My mother unfortunately just doesn't remember well enough how to do it, but other than a couple of differences (I don't recall her putting red gravy in hers), this looks just like what she put in hers. Thank you for sharing! Happy Easter!
