Have u had a problem with the header rubing the frame on the passenger side on the truck? Mine dose and it is 2 wheel drive.

7/8 long tube headers if I install them will anything rub?

If you have 4wd you will probably hit the front drive shaft with the 1 7/8. It will also be a tight fit running along the trans cross member. What are you running? If you have a 5.3 you probably won't see much improvement in the 1 7/8 vs the 1 3/4. If you have anything larger than a 5.3 then the 1 7/8 would be justified.

I have read over and over again that the stock exhaust manifolds on these trucks are very well made and that shorty's will only gain you about 3-5 HP. Just a thought as it is a lot of work for that small of a gain. But then again - if you are addicted to HP, every gain helps! Let us know what you decide to do.

the left header will hit front drive shaft..i already had my right side on then went to do left and it rubbed so had to painstakenly rosebud heat header and portapower it away from driveline..took many attempts but finally got it..i recommend getting correct headers..i couldn't due to having to buy others and not being credited for one's I had

No the long tube headers are meant to replace that whole section making it a cat less down pipe as well as headers

Who did you find to tune your vehicle after the catless headers? Blackbear performance is telling me that they won’t do it unless I get an affidavit saying that it’s an off-road vehicle only.

I did when I did my engine rebuild. 2 of them snapped off. But, because my block was at a machine shop, he took care of it for me. I have heard where people have welded a bold on the end and gotten them off that way.

Yes, I eliminated both downstream O2 sensors and had a professional tuner tune them out.

Jaime headers are the first bit of exhaust from your engine . From the block it enters the headers Wich feeds it to the main exhaust pipes Wich includes cats or glass packs depending if you removed the muffler , then out the back of the vehicles . Installing long tube headers lets your motor breathe better giving it a easier flow of piping normally . And also gives it a louder and meaner growl . Hope I helped lol
