I've been in martial arts since I was 15 and am a black belt, Tai Chi practitioner (Qigong) and Yoga Instructor too. I practice this form too and love the gracefulness you display when going through the movements. I have seen others do it and I've noticed some variations in certain places. I love watching you do this. You and SifuAminWu perform this the best! I wish I could be as graceful in certain parts of this form and am working on it. It's always about continuous improvement! You are a model and art form! Thank you for posting this.

I am always a little confused when I see taiji of this quality, and yet some people have clicked dislike... what is there to dislike? It must be an error.... this is wonderful.

Enjoyed your sword and Quan very much at your Acupuncture site. Please let me know if you stop by the San Francisco bay area someday. You can probably start a worldwide tour teaching Chen's Taiji 56-form Taiji, 42-form Taiji sword dance and probably giving seminars on TCM. If you stop by bay area, make sure you let me know. We have a Dong Yue Taiji group here and I'm a member of that group. Bless and keep up with the great job.

Lovely demo. However , if anyone was looking at this video to help with their technique and form , there are some things that need attention. When you run through your form , try to stay at one speed ( dont exaggerate stabs and slashes ). You may miss some important body feedback . Second ,tai chi is flowing motion. While this practictioner is flowing well through her movements, she is pausing in between named movements (if you observe, you can see where one named movement ends and another begins. There are important transitional circles in the body that needs to be made here and shes paused during them. Bottom line: make sure you maintain flow . Your movements in your form should eventually be so tied together that one cannot observe a beginning and an end to any named movement , but only one flowing into another. Finally ,and i cant be sure , but i think her legs straighten at the knee a little too much at times, but thats hard to tell. The knees must always be slightly bent. Constructive words only , no cynical nonsense implied in my words : ) with all sincerity, A fellow tai chi practicioner Fyi: information found in : answers to common tai chi and qi gong questions by William Ting

+Dylan Sabulsky re your comment about speed -- depends what form you're practising. Yang style is generally taken at a constant slow speed, Chen certainly has variations and my uderstanding of this form is that, like the competition 42 form, it does require the variations shown.

+Dylan Sabulsky even in yang style sword there are pauses and accelerations. It always makes me laugh when some "fellow tai chi practitioner" tries to tell a multi time champion how they are doing it wrong.

So a champion has nothing left to learn ?
@bkmeahan8 жыл бұрын
given that your critique is incorrect, I would say she has nothing left to learn from you certainly.

Why are all of my points incorrect ?

Shame there is no distinction between the different family sword play, within the form as it is meant to be played. It is good but, very basic.
