Hi. I have 2 months since I started learning Japanese but I have the sensation my calligraphy in hiragana is not good enough, but your video is gonna help me a lot.

What is “good enough” at 2 months of learning Japanese? Don’t be so hard on yourself! If you even know (can recognize instantly) all the hiragana at 2 months, that’s already significant. This is an extremely detailed guide to writing hiragana from the perspective of Japanese penmanship. Handwriting does not need to be this good, and most people’s isn’t. There is definitely a range of “native” styles (that is, even messy/poor handwriting can usually be determined to belong to a Japanese or a foreigner) but if you can write hiragana legibly (and clearly distinguish れ/わ/ね for example) after 2 months, that’s a win in my book. Penmanship is separate from language learning.
