@@ayush885 No such issues reported by anyone in VW Skoda 2.0 cars, although it was happening too frequently in the past. Still an extended warrany with maximum period should be considered in case purchase a DSG transmission car to avoid any extra repair cost in future, if any

Nice explanations (especially on the coding and upgrade things). Thanks for your time and efforts. Just to add, I think / feel, have done more tougher roads in the Taigun 1.0 AT Topline and to be very frank I was scared to the core, but the car did not struggle much, it slipped slightly but not to worrying levels. Unfortunately my DashCam memory card got corrupt so I couldn't record the whole drive.

How will you compare the performance of Taigun GT DSG with that of Seltos 1.4turbo DCT ? I personally fell that Seltos have better initial acceleration as compared to Taigun, but their DCT isn't as quick as VW group's DSG.

My personal opinion, driving dynamics-wise, Taigun is significantly ahead of Seltos, hence a chief reason for me to go for Taigun over Seltos. Although Seltos provides amazing tech.

I have driven both and didn't feel the initial acceleration part better in Seltos, don't know if I couldn't notice it, but Seltos is bigger with more weight and less displacement. And these days DSG is more reliable and faster than DCT offered by koreans. And there is no comparision of drivability between those two. For features you may consider Seltos, for driving dynamics, engineering and above all safety, Taigun is far ahead

Sir what about decoding the car for hidden features? If service center caught it ,Will warranty will affect? What’s your view on this?

It really depends upon what warranty you are claiming and if the coding has affect on that factor. Many people claim that it’s a value change thing and can’t be caught while Service Center scanning. Still some other people stay away from it to avoid any hassle in future. So, still it doesn’t have a solid answer

There’s no such news of facelift. But they have been improving day by day with better roof-liner, ventilated seats in GT+ etc.

Hi Pramod ji, Thank you for helping us with such a really good insights on vw taigun. I have one question and also the fear regarding dsg gearbox. I am looking for to buy Taigun or Kushaq 1.5 automatic but worried about the reliability of DSG. Since I am looking to keep car for 10-15 years, how would dsg hold for that much time? In case if anything goes wrong with the gearbox then what would be repair cost ? What is the cost of replacement of gearbox? It would be great help if you could help me with this confusion.

Hello Brother ! Thanks a lot for your appreciation and support. The issues in DSG is like a history now a days. people are more complaining about minor niggles and no one have faced in DSG although these issues generally come after lacs of kms. Still you can see 1.5 DSG variants are sold a lot in Virtus, Taigun, Kushaq, even Virtus doesn't have a 1.5 MT variant. Many people have bought 1.5 DSG as their first car. Even if issue come in future, I strongly recommend you to take maximum extended warranty for this and after warranty some service center gives discounts in repair cost as a goodwill gesture, if you maintain the srevice record of the car. I will suggest don't stop your heart to go for it just for a single reason :)

The whole gearbox won't be faulty at a time, in most cases the mechatronics is the root cause of gearbox and drive issues, Will check and let you know an approx cost, which may be 80k-150k, again it's just a guess. Which SVP is value for money - 4yr for 30k or 5yr for 46k. In the 5yr pack they give coupons for battery, wiper, break pad replacement etc. Is it worth the 16k extra cost for a year? Thank you in advance

Although calculation wise, it doesn't look economical, but it's recommended to replace the battery from authorised SC and keeping eyes on inflation, should go for it. I have taken for my GT Plus and as it's an one time purchase I made while purchasing the car, in future no need of worrying to pay uncertain amount while servicing. Again if your running is too much, you must opt for it.

@@DirectShift Haha, nahi sir, 4 din pehle taigun dsg book ki hai, tabse aap hi ke videos dekh raha hoon. taigun ka playlist pura dekh liya. aap hi ki tarah mera bhi pehla car hai. mujhe car chalani bhi nahi aati, driving class ke bas 5 din huye hai. Even Maruti 800 alto can do that road. Nothing special , normally that is the condition of roads in a village anywhere in hills
