Sorry at 2:12 that is NOT a punch guys....that was SUPER choreographed . And it had a fake attack with frozen hand syndrome. That and the hakama no wonder people are confusing this with aikido !!!!

I would have liked to see this done on the move, in real time. This is far too correographed. It's fine to hold your punch out in mid-air for a demonstration but that never happens in a real fight. For that matter a straight right karate style punch would almost never happen.

Its a demonstration afterword they will do real sparring of cause. We used similar training methods when i were at the academy in the early 80s
