About a year ago I started studying for the SIFT and binge watched all your videos almost everyday. I took the test ended up getting a 74. Fast forward to today, and after many medical setbacks I got selected for 153A. Gotta say thank you for all your videos helping me become successful with my dream.

Great series Jacob. It's hard to find decent reference material online that's current, accurate and doesn't take an hour to understand.

Very interesting! May I kindly ask you to make video and explain what the pros and cons of the different Rotor configuration are? I mean standard rotor/tail rotor, Coaxial Kamov style and "Chinook" configuration? Thanks in advance!

Your sharing and teaching is appreciated! I've been searching for that video of the Apache in Afghanistan with his separated tail rotor. No joy yet, but definitely interested. Thanks again for your effort!

Hey Jacob, thanks for the post. You never fail to educate us in the most convenient way. However, i would like request you to come up with something regarding horizontal stabilizer and its effect during TRF for both out ward and inward rotating TR. Thanks again!!!

Hey .. can you make a video on ( reasons of pitch oscillations in helicopter especially in tandem rotors ) and ( the effect of the pendul external cargo especially in tandem rotors) .. thank you .. this will be very important to me .

If you're one of the cool kids who get to fly an MH-47, then you don't need to worry about tail rotor issues. 😉 My uncle says the controls are extremely complicated though. Took him a long time before he could instinctually fly the aircraft.

isnt an autorotation the best way to land after the last two?

Definitely for the last one: no power, no torque! Also stated in the Cabri FM …

how do you avoid a blackhawk's main rotor blades tilting the fuselage sideways or nose pitch down while taxiing (forward blade disk down 15 degrees)?

I´ve seen LTA be mentioned in some payd manuals I couldn´t afford and the only manual I´ve seen that term LTA I believed is the same you´ve seen. INTRODUCTION TO HELICOPTER AERODYNAMICS REV. 2009? navy book. Do you have the latiest?

I’m thinking of electric tail rotors, like Bell’s EDAT (Electrically Distributed Ant-Torque). Could this significantly reduce the problems you have outlined?

All of these forces could still play a factor in an EDAT

Thank you a lot for your videos❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥 can you tell me how to calculate the wingspan and area of tail and main rotor blades needed if we know the engine rpm and weight of a helicopter ?? Im a school kid and Im trying to build a big RC helicopter by myself. 🙂😊 and your videos has been a very big help for me . and in my channel ive made a small video on that can you tell me if it will work or not? Ive been in aeronautical society in our school since 7th grade and ive learned a little about aerodynamics and i love helicopters and planes soo much. If you have a little time for that it will be a big help for me.Thanks again ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.owe you big time ❤️❤️❤️.

This is getting into more of the engineering and aeronautics side and not as much the piloting side. Is recommend getting those formulas and measurements from an engineering source.

Lol I know right? The Apache is the girl who constantly needs tons of makeup (maintenance) to look good. But when she shows up to the party she’s a stunner and has all the heads spinning.
