Tailgate Talk - Jeep Comanche RUST FREE and RUNNING for $1500

In this video I tell the story of how I got my two wheel drive 1988 Jeep Comanche truck rust free in running condition for only $1500. The rig has since been converted to 4x4 with an AW4 transmission, 231 transfer case, slip yoke eliminator, and Tom Woods custom drive shafts. The MJ is on a fresh set of 31x10.50 Mastercraft Courser MXT tires on Jeep Canyon wheels. All front facing lights have been replaced with fresh lenses and LED projector headlights. Lots of future plans for this rig so stay tuned!!

great video! i just went thru the same scenario, got my 1987 comanche free, $500 for the 4x4 axle and parts, ran 2 days then the engine would quit running every 20 minutes, took months to fix replaced every sensor a couple times, still unsure what the problem was, got about $2500 in repairs, so far. i enjoy fixing old vehicles, i was so frustraed i about got rid of it. i have several videos on my channel. thanks

Is the electronics system made by rinux? Let us know how that works for u. I've read and heard lots of problems with that computer system

Yes, it's called Renix and it's a bit tricky. No check engine light, code scanning, etc. Makes troubleshooting a bit harder but as long as all sensors and wiring are solid it works pretty well. These trucks have quite a few wiring issues.
