Separating out the specific parts and tools for each of the seven step assembly process steps was brilliant on the part of the manufacturer. For the price, I am impressed at how sturdy this kzbin.infoUgkxvObaTzoHoHQLL4lHbJQmExHqsrZQm-f7 unit is and it does go together easily. Well, I was puzzled at first at Step 5 and maybe the instructions should mention that rail #62 needs to be tilted upwards a little to get the rail to fit into the main part #44. I like it that the rower can be stored vertically in a really small amount of space, but be forewarned that this rower is top heavy and for safety you'll need at least two bungee cords to keep the unit upright, attaching them to something; in my case to a third garage door. I have had this unit only a short time, and I will post an update once I've had it for a year. As for working your legs, I have to admit that I'm mainly rowing for upper body strength and I use other forms of exercise for leg strength (like walking fast, biking, or using a trampoline. But if you pull as far forward as possible, then you can give preference to your legs for the first 4 feet or so of travel. I also admit to not taking the two electronic connectors apart at Step 7. I simply inserted the two batteries while the other parts remained connected. By the way, there is plenty of resistance here, even in the lowest resistance settings. Kudos to Sunny Health & Fitness !

@qtVel I'm not knocking the concept 2 but it doesn't have any smart features. Kinda like buying a car without ac/heat, radio, hand roll up windows and a stick shift compared to a fully loaded car with car play and android auto. The both going to get you from point A to point B

Again I'm not belittling the concept too I'm just saying it's a strip down barebones basic model and nowadays people like their equipment to have smart features. Hydrow is considerably cheaper and has much better classes as they are on the water. Way more interesting in my opinion. I have the Peleton tread and it is a great piece of machinery so I have no doubt this is as well but the cost is absurd. I am not happy paying for two different subscription models (Hydrow and Peleton) but they are cheaper than than an F45 or OTF membership and in the comfort of my own home. Great review btw.

I was so hopeful for the rower release but we purchased a waterrower 2 years ago and couldn't be happier with the Cityrow app. At the price point I don't think we will be upgrading unfortunately but if we do it would probably be the new hydro rower. I love their on the water classes

Thanks for the video. I tried that exact machine in the promenade. I used to row on the crew team and currently go to a rowing Hiit workout. I could use the peloton a lot, but I am not down with also having to be stuck with a. monthly fee. Also, kayaking is not rowing.

This is crazy, this is over 3 times the price of my Concept2 rower. The Hydrow looks way better and costs less too. I am considering selling my Concept2 and getting a Hydrow, definitely wouldn't get this, I wouldn't even pick this over my Concept2 for the same money. My list goes Hydrow at the top, Ergatta or Aviron below that and then Concept2 below that.
@TailHappyTV
@TailHappyTV 2 жыл бұрын
Totally agree, the price seems outrageous compared to what else you can get. The Hydrow and the Concept2 both seem to be excellent choices for rowing, ergatta seems cool too, it’s basically the same bones as the water tower I reviewed with the screen and metrics connectivity.

no point in buying anything but a c2 or an rp3 if you actually use the machine for rowing and not just general fitness. C2 is the standard without a doubt and for good reason. The rp3 is more expensive and will give the best feeling to replicate the feel of being in a boat. It will also give more accurate and in detail feed back about the power curve which can be helpful. All these other machines are a waste of money and they scam clueless people into buying an ineffective machine for more money than should be spent.

Where they go wrong is not allowing those who already have a rower to utilize those classes - as well as the high cost of this rower.
@TailHappyTV
@TailHappyTV 2 жыл бұрын
Technically you could sign up for the peloton digital app and use the Peloton classes to follow along with any rower, you’re just not going to get the metrics and all of the cool connectivity and form assist features. I could see this being a popular option for people to buy a less expensive rower, like some of the other ones I reviewed on my channel, and then use the top tier studio classes that Peloton delivers on.

I don’t know, I love the bike and ride probably 6 days a week. I’d like to change up workout and eventually get this. Im sure it’s good for your back and chest and legs. My main concern is just boredom with the work out. This obviously makes no sense because biking is a repetitive movements as well. I’m not sure why, I just don’t love rowing.

Why on earth would anyone spend $3200 on a rower considering the company that ushered in indoor rowing machines (Concept 2) unveiled them 41 years ago, making still today a fantastic rower for 1/3 the cost. Peloton even shamelessly ripped off the design shown here made by C2 clear back in 1986.
