The Freego Shotgun F3 Pro all wheel drive 2000w ebike is an absolute hooligan of the streets. If you're looking for one of the fastest dual motor electric bikes for under $3000 this could be the ticket. It's cheaper than the Ariel rider grizzly, and the voltage difference from 52 to 48v is probably barely even noticeable, and it "looks legal" especially when compared to a talaria xxx or surron ebike.

Dude, a friendly tip as a way of thanks for the video: Don't tighten brake rotors with a gun... Do it by hand, preferably with a Newton-Wrench in a star pattern... Probably won't make TOO much difference on this thing, but still: The force these need to be torqued down to varies massively by application... Head Clamps is another example where you should also be really careful... I'm sure there must be a video on here giving you some rough idea how hard to torque down what on most Motorcycles/Bicycles...

Skilled Craftsman at this level that know their tools true limits, and skilled with selecting clutch settings in advance is the difference between real tool techs vs rookie wanabe slamming it full power, full torque, snapping heads off hardware, or stripping fasteners. As AP Tech restoring WWII Aircraft, to head tech for Harley to Honda dealers moons ago, this guy needs no advice from rookie crew. Obviously wide angle lens creates an artificial speed twice of reality. Amazing little dual motor 20" guy that I'm in the market for and about the right price range, and doable by most. I'd consider studding the tires for winter, as done with XR500 pro motocross, where getting back up this steep icy 6 block route is quite steep and difficult even for average vehicle traffic. I've studied Ebike tech for a couple years now, and at seventy, where my ten speed and my knee condition is now too painful & impossible to make it back up the hill from store to home. So obviously electric is the only solution, before I destroy my knees further with attempts trying it in clown gear. Cheers, and great review Captain. Makes me want to try an upgrade mod with larger motor on the rear. Just for the heck of it. The clunking of suspension is probably due to rear shock with zero hydraulics for rebound control, where air ride and tunable hydraulics is needed.

I been riding this bike for a month now and the speed and performance is no joke. 38mph consistently, 49mph going downhill. The batteries last a long time. I hit about 18+ miles riding on PAS 5, dual motor 85% on full throttle and the battery meter only dropped 1 bar. If you are riding normal going at about 20mph, you would hit more than 25+ miles before you see 1 bar drop. This bike has a lot of rattles, I got the rattling to stop by putting Gorilla tape as padding on the bottom of the batteries, the dual controllers, and there is a small black box that I also added padding to. Now there are now rattles. I also changed the rear shocks to some coil over oil shocks, they are much better and no more bottoming out. NOT perfect, but price is really good for what you get!

I am worried about this type of thing not being aloud to follow rules of bicycles, it's basically a motorcycle. which by the way if your driving on a road you should be following same road rules of cars, no blowing through stop signs and stuff. But if they haven't already it'll be sad when they say you can't use these at all on sidewalks and bike paths anymore.

@@everettputerbaugh3996 I thought maybe it differs from state to state which I am sure it does but I'm from Florida and here we absolutely cannot run stop signs or lights and so on, we have to follow same rules as cars. but I've seen other youtubers in New York biking who doesn't follow literally any traffic laws and not seen them pulled over so either the laws are different or like you said cops just don't enforce them. It's a bit flustering though if laws are there and people don't follow them and it's not enforced, as a law abiding citizen you have a huge disadvantage with others especially if your competing in for example parcel deliver services and you are following laws and not others, it may also put you in danger if your only one following the rules and everyone else expects you not to leading to accidents not expecting you to stop or do this or what. and then if cops suddenly get a bunch of complaints or something and decide to start enforcing it then suddenly all those people start getting tickets that didn't before is also unfair. I firmly believe in either having a law and enforcing it, or not having the law at all. this in-between crap leads to very unfair situations.

I don't need generic Chinese battery packs catching fire in my garage, thanks. Fully half of the reviews on their own website were negative, which didn't seem to reflect well on the company. 4 decades ago, I had a Yamaha Road Trail 100cc motorbike that I used to putter around town on. To get my open motorbike license (250+ cc motorbike), I borrowed a friend's RD 350 sports motorbike for a week ... and it was so much fun to ride, so powerful, and accelerated so fast. Had to hang on for dear life when I accelerated hard or I'd somersault off the back of the bike. It was so different to my RT 100. I rode it for a few hours, my confidence grew, I was having a blast, and everyone else seemed to be moving in increasingly slow motion. Was shocked when I looked down at the speedo and found myself going well over 100 mph on a busy city road with a speed limit of less than half that. Immediately slowed the bike down and took it back to the owner - the bike was not for me because I became a speeding maniac when I rode it, I didn't want to kill myself or hurt others. Got my RT 100 back and stayed safe. This guy also needs to take a good, hard look at his riding style - blowing through STOP signs, ignoring road rules - you are going to hurt or kill yourself or others. STOP IT ! Send the eBike back if you cannot control it. There's enough idiots on the road - trucks, cars, motorbikes, eBikes, eScooters, push bikes, eSkateboards, etc - without you adding to the carnage.

I’m completely new to ebikes and what to look for but the question I have about dual motors is: how do the motors synch so that one isn’t pushing against the other or dragging the other?
@wallywest2360
@wallywest2360 9 ай бұрын
Most hub motors only push. They don't drag when you let off the throttle, they freewheel. There are a few exceptions and those regenerate when coasting or braking. They do drag the speed down with no throttle input. But there are controllers that will give it just enough power at "idle" to make it feel like a freewheel. You get somewhat better battery life with those because when braking the motor pushes a bit of power back to the battery.

Ngl I kinda like these bikes. They are still better than cars. But at this point there really needs to be a law limiting these things from driving on sidewalks. This is basically putting pedals and a chain on an electric motorcycle and calling it an e-bike because of that. The fact that you dont need a license for it is concerning too. These loopholes need to be adressed asap.

I would like to know how efficient it is in 1 wheel drive over 2 wheel drive. I suspect that in city driving it may split the resistance of the road and power draw across both wheels and may be more efficient in some situations. However, it is probably more efficient in one wheel drive while cruising continuously at certain speeds. But in one wheel operation the motor can also become strained when encountering steep slopes and increased road resistance can put a strain on the single wheel drive and draw more than if the power was split between the 2 wheels.

Shame awd on a bike screws up counter steering and stuff. I built one myself a while ago. The idea was to have something fairly road comparable to a 250cc motorbike, but it ended up just being insanely dangerous at high speed and wanting to high side you. I did manage to fix it somewhat by lowering the power of the front motor but it still bucks in corners and all manner of issues, especially in the wet on a lean. I converted it back to rear drive because it just wasn't a good ride to use it anywhere but in a bit of dirt or down the local bike paths and such. It's great in concept, or when used just as a standard bike to get around on, but if you want some speed and actually ride the thing hard at high speeds it's better to just run a powerful motor and gear it accordingly for road use. They handle like a dog's breakfast otherwise. Even the Chinese production electric motorbikes are absolutely terrible to ride unless you are commuting around the corner. You would never want to take one for a semi-decent ride, else face constant near death experiences. I've been road riding for 20 some odd years, and track racing for at least 10 of those. And not to mention dirt bike racing since I was around 4 or 5, so something like 27-28 years. Trust me when I say, AWD bikes are a gimmick. I'm sure they have their uses for a few things but nothing notable.

@soggybiscotti8425 10 ай бұрын
@gabys2 not a problem 😀 just thought I would share my experience for anyone interested. I hope I didn't end up coming off as arrogant or sound like I was making an argument from authority. While I fo have a breadth of experience riding bikes, there is always something new to learn and a chance to grow your talents when riding a bike. Particularly when you race, as meticulous inputs for greater control when entering and exiting corners as quickly as possible is dependent on making even the most minute changes, consistently just to shave off fractions of a second. So I certainly hope I didn't come off that way. And to be honest, I'm hoping someone else comes along with more experience with AWD bikes, as my experience with them is fairly mediocre at best with only a homemade converted road bike, that will know a great deal more and can provide some insight into how to get an AWD bike to perform better. It's just to the best of my knowledge and from what experience I do have on them, that having the front tyre under power also, messes up the suspension geometry and loading when entering, in and exiting a corner, as it doesn't load the suspension the same by causing it to rise while under acceleration. I'm sure there may be a way to counter this by setting up some modelling for testing and running vigorous testing with different setups, power ratios between front and rear, and even perhaps completely altering the position or direction of the shocks, as the standard bike setup simply doesn't work very well, but I expect there may be a way to get it working well with enough testing and alteration. But alas, that is for the big manufacturers, with theirnbillionndollar testing and simulation facilities to research. With All that said, if someone wishes to make one, absolutely you should! Perhaps you can work out some aspects to have things working a bit smoother that I didn't have the time and money to put into it as I am a full time working father of two and have a business to run l, all while maintaining my motorcycle riding addiction 😜 I must admit that when I was off-road and down the trails, AWD came in handy on occasion, and particularly once I had installed a microcontroller that allowed me to change the power distribution on the fly, so I could change the bias to mostly front, so 70% front and 30% rear etc. Because that was extremely useful for when climbing uphill and prevented the bike from wanting to roll backwards and wheelie when accelerating. Just load your bodyweight over the front forks and send it! So while I can't see myself riding an all wheel drive bike for road racing any time soon, unless some active control systems are put into place that actively torque vector where the power is or isn't required when cornering etc, I'll give it a pass. But that doesn't mean there isn't a bright future in off road use like trail biking or adventure bikes, where traction from the front could be really handy coming from the front as well as the rear. It will just need a very good ABS and traction control specifically designed for that purpose. I usually ride without any traction control or ABS when I ride dirt. But for this application, I believe it could be what makes the product work, and work well. @burkejohnson4539 the suspension geometry between a scooter and that of a performance boke/motorcycle are not even remotely comparable. @@Fury_BlackWolf You know how batteries work? 48V battery is somewhere between 53V (Full) and 43V (Empty). First thing I noticed was no rear view side mirror... when you were in the bike lane and had to swerve into the car lane to avoid the UPS truck at 10:26 it would have been nice to be able to check for cars over your left shoulder (like motorcycles have) rather than just hope you wouldn't get hit by a faster motor vehicle.

FYI: All Dual battery bicycles run on only one battery at a time. Each battery has an on/off switch. The best way to run the bike is switching one battery on and one off. When your ready turn on fully charged and turn off the other. This way you can control how much juice you discharge from each battery. On my Ariel rider I never let my battery get below 30%. It prolongs the life of the battery. It also depends on how much of a hurry Im in, if i need more power ill turn on the other battery sooner. Leaving them both on it will usually default to one first.

The problem with this bike is you can order it straight from China for much less. There are no custom design or original pieces or features. They literally picked it out of a Chinese catalog and doubled the price. And now they aren't even saving you the shipping time because after you order it saying 5 to 8 business days, they email you and tell you it's actually 5 to 8 wèeks, which means they are ordering from China when you order. They are adding zero value at that point.

I would put a major warning on bikes that do 28+ and highly recommend people to not buy any bicycle that goes over 30. My Specialized e-bike does 28 and it has 210mm hydraulic brakes. Cars are going to pull out in front of a bike doing 38mph because it's tiny and much harder to see in so many conditions. And you're going to be flipping over that car to your death. Those tires look like a joke, you're going to be doing 38 on those??? I ride in the city so this bike is too much for the city for most people because most are idiots. But in the country I can see this working, as long as the roads aren't twisted with cars doing 70mph. It's scary stuff and it's only a matter of time before the law steps in with regulations. Deaths and injuries will speed up that process.

Even more dangerously, he bolts along a crowded beach at breakneck speeds, whilst riding right next to sunbathing families ... he could easily ride over a little kid buried in the sand (as kids often do at the beach) ... at the speed he's riding, he wouldn't have time to realize ... then he'd crush the poor little kid to death. If he doesn't learn to change his ways, by prioritizing safety, and "slowing down" near pedestrians ... then tragically, he'll soon kill a little kid.
