Another great review. I have the Ecell's Dual Star, and my friend has the Wired Cruiser. I know there is a battle or rivalry between the companies and their customers. I rode the Wired, and it was a nice bike. When it comes to components, a lot of them are the same. Some might be different brands for the components. For example, the brakes on the Ecell's are Tektro and for the Wired they are Gemma. Both of them stop about the same. I did not notice a "death wobble" on the Wired. I don't have the "death wobble" on my Ecell's. Setting up the suspension, both on the front and rear shock is important to avoid this. I also have heard people complain on both sides of the aisle about the "death wobble" However, they didn't have their hands on the handlebars. Their complaint on either side is moot if they are dumb enough to ride a 110-pound bike without hands on the handlebars. Wired needs to have a double-sided chain stay like the Ecell's. The "chain-slap" happens on both brands. The Wired appears to have a brighter taillight, while the Ecell's has a bigger and brighter headlight. I do like the thru axle quick release on the Wired. I wish my Ecell's had that feature. I like the dual crown fork on the Ecell's better than the RST Guide fork on the Wired. The amount of travel and adjustment, in my opinion is better on the Ecell's compared to the Wired bike. The motor is made by the same company and most likely, the same specification. The controller on the Wired is 45 amp, while the Ecell's is 40 amp. The torque on the Wired states 153 pounds, while Ecell's claims 147 pounds. Ecell's appears to have more accessories compared to Wired. Before I called Ecell's, I called Wired and inquired about a custom color. The woman that answered the phone stated Wired will not do custom colors. For Ecell's, a $100 fee will get you a custom color if you provide a paint color code. The Wired does not give the option for a torque sensor, while the Ecell's comes standard with a cadence sensor. The torque sensor is an option for the Ecell's for $99. As for rim choice, the Ecell's and Wired offers the standard 26x4 rims. Wired only offers black rims. Ecell's are either color coordinated with the bike, or you can ask for black. Ecell's also offers a 20" rim size as an option at no cost. The gold anodized color is a $49 option. My friend needed a part for her Wired that failed. She called and it was to her door in a couple of days. I also needed a part that failed on my Ecell's, it arrived the next day because I'm only a couple of hours away from Ecell's company. Both of us have had good customer service with both companies. In conclusion, both bikes are so much alike. To me, I don't care about who allegedly copied who. I know Ecell's has been around for a while. I don't know that much history behind the Wired brand. Both are probably made in the same Chinese factory, while the specifications of the bikes differ slightly due to the different owner's request. I would say it's like comparing a Ford to a Mercury or a Chevrolet to a GMC. Sorry for the long comment. I just like seeing everyone happy with whatever choice someone makes reference their ebike. Everyone has preferences, needs, and wants. Safe biking everyone! 🚴🚴♂🚴♀🏍🛵

I bought my first e-bike kit and installed it on my Schwinn CrissCross hybrid bike 30 years ago. It had an Old fashioned nicad battery bag you had the velcro to the frame between your legs. It had a soft toggle thumb switch. It had two inward turned Humvee tire inflation motors connected with a knurled shaft that literally hung over the back tire. When you pushed the switch the torque of the motor caused the knurled shaft to come in contact with the back tire moving the bike forward but also wearing out your back tire. It would only go about 15 miles an hour peak and you can only go 4 Miles before the battery was depleted. We have come a long way since then. My next bike was a Juiced brand Ripcurrent S that arrived just before covid. I put 3500 me on that bike before I upgraded to the cruiser version of this bike. THIS BIKE SOLVES ALL MY COMPLAINTS AND PROBLEMS I HAD WITH THE JUICED RIP CURRENT S. It's expensive but I'm glad I bought it. The first thing I did was replace the tires with fatter motorcycle style tires since this thing is capable of 40 miles an hour. It really shouldn't ship with standard e-bike tires. I also installed Tannus liners with fatter motorcycle style inner tubes and I'm still considering putting in tire slime (I had flat tires three different times on my juiced Ripcurrent S) Being able to accelerate out of trouble and get away from cars that people are driving while they're on their cell phones IS A MASSIVE SAFETY IMPROVEMENT.

Bro! I have to say that your videos are very cool and informative. I also want to say that it was because of your cool video coverage of this bike that I purchased mine. Wired's customer service is now tell me that the $50 off and FREE air shock pump is a mistake. So I ordered my Freedom bike and used your code and for the $50 off. However, when they emailed my order confirmation, it did not include the air shock pump initially. So I email support to inform them and they immediately updated my order including the FREE air shock pump. However, when the product arrived, it did not contain the pump. So I reached out to support again and now they say "oh this was a mistake, you do not get both. You took the $50 discount, so you don't get the air shock pump also. Now this pump is not expensive, so if I have to purchase it, it is no big deal. However, it is the "Principle of Customer Service" and "Proper Communication" for me. The bike came with absolutely no assembly instructions at all. It does come with a manual, but that is only for the controller display. Although most of the bike is already assembled, you still have to properly install the front tire, the pedals, the front battery, the front mud guard. When you make an investment like this in a bicycle, you want to make sure you properly install everything so as to not mess up anything. Especially for someone like myself who is not mechanically inclined with tools etc. I am a CyberSecurity Engineer and not a guru at this. This is actually my very first ever ebike purchase. Along with my purchase I also added the SunTour NCX seat stabilizer and it too came with absolutely no installation instructions. Of course, these days we have the internet and we can google or youtube how to do these things, but I feel if the merchant assumes the customer will figure all of this out on their own, they should state this and inform the customer something like "in order to keep costs low, etc, we ship our product with no documentation and expect the customer to assemble at their own risk. At least this will give the customer the option of whether they want to "take it" or "leave it" before they place an order. Your videos are awesome and once again, it is because of you that I made my purchase. However, customer service left a bit of a bad taste with me due to their lack of proper communication. I love their product and I think it is awesome. I had planned on purchasing 6 more units if my experience went well, but I am now contemplating looking into other vendors simply due to the miscommunication. What are your thoughts?

I own this bike! I have it in Lime Green and installed some LED lights, LED pedals and other accessories on it. I absolutely love it, it goes good enough speed unlovked for where I live in Suburban Atlanta. That rear-rack was the hardest thing to assemble on this bike sadly and some of the paint chipped when I installed it 😟 But I put in over 900 miles on it, the only thing is that rear rackmount on the bike itself cracked on the left side and I have to get it welded back on. But this bike has been pretty good otherwise. The milage will definitely not be 90 miles doing car speeds, I only usually get 30 - 40 miles, but I carry my chargers with me. Also I fell from a bad driver but I was only going about 10 mph, so I have to replace the 56 tooth crankset, which all of I contacted Wired and Steve with. Also, I have a more comfortable seat but can't install it just yet because the Wired seat is screwed on soooooo tight!! 😨 But I'm going to do a 1000 mile review in the coming weeks myself. But yeah, with all of those issues to the side, this bike is a BMX Electric Motorcycle 😅 I'm so glad you did a review on this bike! Love this channel.

I messed up my left knee and it is the size of a grapefruit right now. This is my word of warning to anybody who is thinking of getting this bike, don't put it on the max speed takeoff. At all. It's very unsafe. Leave the takeoff speed limiter alone. Change max speed if you want, but leave the takeoff speed alone. Luckily I was wearing a helmet or my face would be hamburger meat right now cause I hit face first and my helmet stopped me from hitting the ground with my face. The knee is looking gnarly as hell right now though. Lost a large chunk of skin.

It's honestly not worth the extra grand and 300 for me. I can get a mantis x for that price and it goes 50 miles an hour. I always ask myself what's better having faster torque or faster top speed. At the end of the day doesn't matter how fast you start the winner is always the one who runs the fastest

@BeautyBeastRC what I'm getting at is the price. It's 1 300 for what n extra motor n controller with no upgraded battery. And the fact that the base model of the freedom is already amazing and can do basically anything u throw at it n is just 2k its honestly a waist of n upgrade. Like at full power on the regular freedom I'd have more range and higher tire longevity. While full power of the predator I'd have way less range way way less and my tires would get destroyed by the super torque. If it made the bike go over 50 that would be an understandable upgrade but it doesn't even go that much faster than the freedom. And plus with the extra motor n controller the weight will be more meaning u would drain more battery it doesn't seem like a good deal. For that same price of 3k I can get a mantis x even though it's a diffrent bike or some other bike at 3k which can go faster and has a bigger battery. So that's why I think the predator isn't really much of n upgrade since the base freedom can already do soo much

$2895 is a whole lot more than $2000 + $250 shipping. E cells is much slower with 1000 less watts, does not have a thru axle or UL certification. The bikes are not really comparable as the Wired bike has 50% more power.

@jfly2249 I just went on the website. It's actually 2695 with a $100 discount making it $2595. The Wired is 2000+250 shipping, plus tax. This will make them essentially the same price. Also the Ecells goes 40, while the Wired goes 42. That is not much faster. Finally it is now UL certified. So yes they are comparable.

That bike looks awesome.... I irrationally want one. But, I can't help thinking that there is a such thing as "too much" bike. I got to the point on 30mph "class 3" (but with throttle so not actually class 3) bikes that I realized I was riding a motorcycle and not a bike, except I was riding one with bike parts instead of motorcycle parts, and had no training for how to handle a motorcycle. This thing is even more motorcycle than those bikes are. I have since gotten an M1, and upgraded to paired electric and gas (motorcycle) scooters (and I still have the "bike" for "bike" things, but don't run it at 30mph on roads much anymore). I will say that at least this particular bike seems to have high end bike parts, tho out of the box it lacks turn signals and mirrors... in any case, if you are going to get one of these and unlock it, I highly recommend upgrading your safety gear (a "bike" helmet isn't enough, and you should probably wear at least jeans, gloves, and long sleeves if not motorcycle pants and jacket). I also suggest you learn how to properly break at high speeds. Matt has an M1 and knows how to ride high powered bikes like this, and makes it look simple. And in truth, it mostly is... except where it isn't. You can get yourself into trouble with the speeds this thing can get to in ways you really can't with even a 20mph class 2 bike. For example, you can lock a tire on a pedal bike at 10-15mph and skid and it's fun and cute. Do it at 40mph resulting in a high side crash and you're gonna have a bad day. Stay safe out there.
@jmcminn10762 ай бұрын
PS: also note that this thing is NOT legal in most places in unlocked mode. It looks like a bike and isn't loud, and thus won't draw instant attention from cops like a Surron or Talaria will, and even with a throttle I doubt anyone stops you going 30 on it (class 3 limit is 28mph), but you get clocked at 40+ on it, and you might get stopped and have a problem.

what is the app you use on your phone to track the speed
@addertooth12 ай бұрын
The wattage figure seems a bit inflated. You were showing 600 Watts at 17 MPH. A more typical figure for an eBike at 20 MPH would only be about 500 watts (or less). Assuming the 60 volt battery is 64 volts when fully charge, with a 45 amp controller, would max out at 2880 watts. It seems a bit like "specsmanship" on the part of wired
@jfly22492 ай бұрын
The controller is peaking at a tad over 50amps and there are 67.2 volts in a fully charged 60v battery 67x50=3350 watts). I have a new Cruiser and an old Freedom and the new bike is definitely pulling a boatload more current resulting in much better acceleration, hill climb and too speed. I see 3200+ peak and the bike goes 43mph.
@addertooth12 ай бұрын
@@jfly2249 TailHappy had said 45 amps (shown at 2min53 secs to 2min58secs where it is printed on the controller in video) so I used the 45 amp value. Also, a 60 volts battery is customarily a 16s battery, and only some 60 volt bolt batteries are 17s (like Goat Power bikes). Video at 5min11 seconds shows peak charging voltage is ONLY 67.2 no-load volts, under load it will quickly sag down below that level. So yes, it it is ONLY a 16S battery pack, not a 17S, which has a higher "nominal voltage of 67ish volts. A 17S pack has a charging voltage of 71.4 volts as a PEAK no-load voltage. After a few minutes of riding it dips lower. Once again, the battery pack is NOT a 17S, so it has a lower operating voltage. Summary: that pack would only be at 67 volts for the first 3 minutes of the ride, and start falling off after that. Final summary: after a few minutes of riding, that 64 volt figure is probably accurate, as it's peak, NO LOAD voltage is only 67.2 volts (as per the charger information). The controller clearly has 45 Amps PEAK written on it, so any 50 amp claims are unsupported. The maximum continuous current on the controller is ONLY 22 amps. When he did try to ride it through the soft sand, the bike hit its thermal limits, and shut off. It cannot operate at a sustained 45 amps.

I'm liking the display on this one that monitors the motor temp & the adjust ability of the individual PAS levels. [most times I wont need full power] as I ride up a hill 8 to 10 mph on dirt roads and steep grades. my lill 750 watt hubs complain @ 20 amps - lol in about 3 miles the grade averages from 8% to 16% then 22%. [22% is just short 40 yard runs] Im hoping this wired can do that as on the ridge tops the roads are mild grades 1% to 3% pretty flat once you get up there how about the brake pads on the wired, are they easy to get?
