I loved your film with such beautiful wildlife footage. I can see myself many times in the film, the good and the bad but I think we both have similar appreciation of the life and the delicate balance of nature. Thanks for the video and the music. Owen (NZ)

There are no wind knots! Only bad casting knots! I have been fly fishing for over 40 years and yes....im still learning too but I turn ALOT of heads! People say I'm an expert....a master and an artist but I don't feel like that. Great video....tight lines!

A very enjoyable film with great compositions,editing and music to suit. Thank you for taking the time and effort to make this. Was recommended by the “Successful fly fisherman” at Newlyn, my nephew Brett.

Hey Marty, this is amazing. You have such a calming narrating style. I love it (somewhere between an aussie attenborough and a calmed down Alby Mangles). I love the soundtrack too... Bloody marvellous

I LOVE this so much, it was such an enjoyable film to watch Martin! It was an absolute honour for Kristal and I to come along and help with the filming and drone work. Your story line, education, voice, and humour is brilliant. Thank you very much for the acknowledgement 🙂 Looking forward to seeing your next project and creating more with you in the future!! 😉

Brilliant video! I'm probably at a similar casting level. I've found an annual trip to the fast-water streams of south west Tasmania is a restorative experience. The Styx, Tyenna, Weld and Florentine are not to be missed in a lifetime! I also love the Snowies Thredbo River in Summer is sublime and I got a 20 inch Brown last December there at Diggings camp ground! See you on the water :-)

@@martinscuffinsmusicfilms9329 Just watched you video again! And still impressed with your humility & the depth of the heart of the matter you uncover regarding fly fishing for Trout (or Redfin, they are the best freshwater eating fish). I hope you got to Tassie? I got my biggest Brown 2 years ago oon the Thredbo right at the Diggings campsite. The kids from Bright high school were there, I'd just arrived and noticed 3 Trout sipping the surface. I asked the students to keep an eye on them while I set up. It took me 40 minutes of presenting a multitude of dries to them (they'd follow & look) until I put on a size 18 and the biggest of them decided it was theirs. I got a 21 inch Brown that behaved like a Rainbow, cray jumps and deep runs. It was a joy to let him go at 3.75 pounds; my best Trout so happy 2023 to a not Mediocre FlyFisher! Congratulations 💪🔥😎

@@GaryP747 thank you Gary. What a great story. I bet those kids were impressed and wouldn’t be surprised if any of them took up fly fishing as a result. Fair play to you. I still hope to get to Tassie. In fact we are taking a little family holiday there for a week in March hopefully. Family stuff but I hope to sneak out with the rod at some stage. Many thanks again for your kind words 🙏 Martin

Bell maker and bamboo fly rod maker saying howdy. Ive attended the British Falconry Fair 19 times but never taken along a rod except the time I delivered one. Do you hunt much or mostly display fly?
@martinscuffinsmusicfilms93293 жыл бұрын
Hi Larry. I know your bells! I think I’ve bought some in the past for use on my Falcons. Thanks so much for watching this. It’s an honour 🙏 To answer your question I entirely display fly these days as local laws prevent hunting with Falcons. Back when I was rehabbing peregrines it was a different story. Wow. Bamboo rod making is a true art. Watch out for my next film. I hope to showcase a local bamboo rod maker over here, if Covid restrictions ever lift. Cheers.

Class is permanent. Form is temporary. I recently played my way out of a nearly two year form slump. And have caught many rainbows this season . I also had another curse I had to fish through. I feel ur pain and felt it when u lost those early fish during the curse . Fish on man . And what a spectacular way to end the curse . Well done mate . Luke from Canberra 😀
@martinscuffinsmusicfilms93293 жыл бұрын
@@1Lukemusic thanks for that wonderful reply mate. Fly Fishing is like that. Ultimately it can be a cure to all the curses we internalise, including the ones caused by (seemingly) the fishing itself. Things have only gotten better since I finished this. A couple of days ago a 5.2 lb 58cm brown graced me with its presence. Man what a fish! What a day!
