There are SO MANY people who know nothing about running a business who are convinced that they know far better how to run Aptera than the business savvy co-CEOs of Aptera. Many of these people are also complaining LOUDLY about how Aptera's timelines have slipped and keep slipping. Yes, it's frustrating, but it's a fact of ANY product development. Large, well established companies have difficulty keeping to their projected time lines. Fisker, Rivian, Lucid, Tesla (especially Tesla) all have had deliveries slip far behind their projected timelines. Guess what??? Aptera isn't immune from this fundamental fact of the universe. I think that it's brilliant that they can start capitalizing on their solar panel development before getting into production with their vehicle. As noted, this will not slow them down, my thought is that it will speed them up. Both with capital infusion as well as advancing the development of their solar production line. Charge on Aptera, we're watching and anxiously waiting for our wonder vehicle.

Most people don't know that even know the big three automakers take many years to develop and produce a new vehicle. In some cases 5 years and they have a lot of people working on that and a lot of money. A lot of times the vehicle is a failure. Considering the budget Aptera has and the small amount of people involved, I think they're doing fine.

Well said Drew 😀. I feel Aptera is doing all the right things in the right order. Just like you said, "Aptera using their own technology - their Intellectual Property" to make positive cash flow into the company. That's free money from the Monopoly bank to buy more houses. Genius. I agree with you that it is taking a little longer than I had hoped, but to have a vehicle that is delivered and works excellent the first time is what you really want. We are watching history, right in front of us, as big or bigger than how the VW bug came to the scene. I feel that after Aptera has their vehicles on the road - the current vehicle design that we know now is going to all change. That Jetson's car with it's round shape will be the shape of our transportation. The Aptera is already the "Car of the Future" right now.

Wait... People are upset Aptera solar is being used elsewhere? Why? Funding has been a big thing for Aptera. Why get upset at them making money off of what they have? I for one want them to get as much money as they can. My reservation number is likely deep in the 40k's. Which... According to the timelines will likely be at least another 3 years away. And I'm currently driving a car from 2011. I *really* want my next car to be Aptera, which means I need my current old car to last as long as possible, which means Aptera getting money so they can get to volume production faster decreases how long I need my car to survive for, which is good. Man, people are silly...

That was my first thought. Use what they already have to make money to use for production of what remains. The fact that they CAN do this shows just how intelligently their development team has been working. I have no problem with Aptera doing more with their solar at the time. If it's already locked in for the vehicle, there should be another team working on getting the solor technology sold as aproduct that other companies can license and use. That just helps make Aptera more diverse and flexible.

Good rant Drew! We all want our Aptera EVs already. But the cooler heads at Aptera are planning out the long haul, and not just the immediate gratification. We know that production is NOT going to begin until 2025, but the bigger picture is that the U.S. Capital funding needs to happen first, combined with the Accelerator money, and the California grant money which is specifically paying back investments made in solar and battery production equipment that supports California jobs and clean energy technology. Plus after Aptera production begins, Aptera will start their IPO. Importantly, investors like the U.S. Capital group, upcoming IPO investors, and future government loans, all look at company assets and income earning capability. Like Aptera's patents and solar technology, and the upcoming potential revenue of Aptera Solar customers. Like the Aptera itself, long term success means running lean, building efficiently, planning wisely, and not just focusing on the first 50 EVs, but focusing on what it takes to build the first 5,000, and the next 20,000, and fulfilling 50,000+ Aptera EVs being built, and more. So many start up companies fail because they are short-sighted. The Aptera team deserves praise for planning ahead, to production next year, and growing their business over the next 3 years, and even 5 years from now.

Just a small correction. Rivian is targeting **gross** profit. That means Revenue per vehicle - COGS will be positive. One that has a lot of needs that this solar tech can fill with demand from Port authorities to reduce pollution and service costs. I see Aptera Solar as a division right now that could be a spin off down the road. Investing in a one pony show is like betting on roulette. I am sure you saw the live stream today and how they break down the zones within a panel on a tera's body. For better solar efficiency. The 4 patents on the wall and hint of 3 more coming! The solar is what got the $130M valuation that interested US Capitol into representing them. And by representing, pitching the story to bankers and accredited investors using a mix of funding options. One wonders what makes them so concerned about those of us who've invested and/or placed pre-orders? Well, the obvious answer is, they do not care, nor are they the least bit concerned--they've JEALOUS, petty people who LOVE TO HATE on a great idea that no one else came up with. You cannot reason with them because not only are they NOT logical but in most cases, they refuse to accurately state that which is right in front of their JEALOUS NOSES. I've said my piece, so now let the trolling begin! LMAO--it's now my laughs for the day when i read their nonsense.

Drew, I love your passion. That is what it takes to create something new. The neigh sayers are good at burying their heads in the sand and can't see what is plainly happening around them, even though the evidence is now on the news every day, as well as being experienced in person.

Aptera is not even able to present a production ready prototype since 2019. And that is the easy part. Production is hard.
@GoClimbARockEh19 сағат бұрын
I'm curious to see how far you continue to move the goal posts once Aptera starts production. Will you complain that they haven't produced enough cars yet in a year? Will you belly ache about how they haven't come out with a thousand mile variant yet? And once they reach those goal posts, I imagine you'll next move on to complaining that they are still only selling the two-door, and not the four-door they promised us. I guess trolls gotta troll

@@GoClimbARockEh "once they Start production" . Aptera promise since 2019. Until now they were not even able to present a production ready prototype. Just empty promises. "Once upon a time..."

Don't assume only people who have invested time and money are the defenders. It happens, yes, but that doesn't discount points made. Most people who criticize are against change and do not respect that in business, roadmaps are always subject to CHANGE. In their mind, road maps are promises, and if change occurs, promises are broken, and thus, every investment thereafter is a scam. But as mentioned, they don't know how to run a business with products no one has made before. They take the mass produced and optimization of consumerism for such granted, they ate oblivious to how new projects start.

This is the right order for Aptera and Rivian. 1. Spend millions on developing a vehicle 2. Find out that making a vehicle profitable is hard and redirect resources 3. License you IP to other companies since you can’t figure out the car in order to slow down (not fix) cash burn 4. File bankruptcy and leave shareholders screwed

I can't believe that you can watch those two guys at the head of Aptera talk and believe that they will ever deliver that stupid trike. They will file for bankruptcy and that'll be it. Just stop. Enough people have wasted their money. As for the patents, you clearly don't understand how patents and IP work. Aptera will not make significant money from those patents.
