I went on the 1st of Jan 2024, it was packed! I arrived to Shifen around 11AM not too early

I couldn't remember how much I spend. But to help you understand how to budget in Jiufen, food prices starts from NT80+. Amei teashop (the famous Spirited Away looking Tea House) has a minimum order of NT300, so if you go there it might be a bit pricier. Hope this helps~
