I was 9yo when I was introduced to Arnis by an old family friend we were visiting in the Philippines. I only spoke English, there were no other kids, but an elderly neighbour of my mother spent almost 5hrs almost every day with me for 3months showing me the art. At the end of my stay, he gifted me with Grandmaster Presas book, "Arnis: Presas Style and Balisong." This began my martial training more than 20yrs going. I am eternally grateful to Lolo "Adore" Lagdamayo for sharing his family art with me and opening the world of Arnis/Kali/Escrima to me, with Grandmaster Presas concepts as my foundation. Arnis remains a link to my culture, a bridge to others, and watching this beautiful tribute, I immediately started weaving my arms with the Grandmaster; it was like I could finally do Sinawali with the Master from my childhood and show him how I've grown and that his art is in me. Thank you so much, and all tribute to Grandmaster Presas

I had the privilege to be one of his student for a few years almost 35 years ago when his dojo was located in Quiapo, he would roll in with his stainless jeep, and always had a smile on his face before every session. Salamat GM Presas, rest in peace sir

He was very impressive. I met hem first time around the year 2000 in Amerika. As a student of GM Godofredo Fajardo and Earl Villanueva I had a long journey in the Presas Style. Being an Arnis student and later instructor in the Philippines was a great adventure. Arnis changed my whole life.

Kombatan is the only FMA that Ive seen with beautiful flow drill of kicks. The rest do not even show kicks as good and effectiive as they do.
