I can't imagine the emotions going through your soul. Praying that God can open your heart and fill you with grace when meeting with her birth family. Prayimg the meeting is filled with love and His grace.

BTDT, we didn't meet our BF at pick up, but we went back when our daughter was 8 and spent the summer living in Taiwan. We reunited with our fabulous foster family and met our daughter's birth family. I had 6 months to prepare for it and it did not go at all like we thought. What I can tell you is that it is the single most important thing we have done for our daughter in 11 years. I went into it with a completely open heart and and made it all our daughter, and it was still incredibly difficult. So I understand your feelings, but this will be a long list of things you will have to stop in your tracks and remind yourself that it has nothing to do with you. Write down everything you can remember from that meeting and put it away for your daughter. Write down what her hands look like, her demeanor, any profound things she might have said or wishes she might have had. I hope it went well and I am very glad you agreed and you had some strong leaders in your life to walk you off the cliff and bring you back to center.

Just came across your video today. Thank you for your sharing and praying for your journey. I can relate to how you feel. We are currently in Taiwan finishing up our quarantine and waiting to see our son in 8 days! Just wanted to drop you a note and share that I am thinking about you. Hope things are going well.
