*I was 9 when that heinous 26/11 terrorist attack happened and I remember feeling so scared despite NOT being in that situation.* But the live news footage of constant bombings and firing from the hotel, Indian Army black commandoes landing into the hotel from a helicopter kept entire nation in frenzy. So many foreign tourists were also trapped within and the Taj staff did their best to protect them as Terrorists usually target Americans more. *Kudos to the Taj Staff back then out of whom many even died while helping patrons.* Condolences to all victims, Om Shanti🙏🏻

For 1.25 lakhs the minibar was a disappointment. So was lack of USB. But probably who needs a minibar when u can spend another lakh or two to order room service. Overall decor is nice. Bedroom is not. Dinning room is. Mini kitchen is. But for similar amount there rfar better options of taj outside India. Ex Pierre or Taj cape town.

Thank you sir for another quality establishment. Great to see that you will not go broke staying and eating at this hotel. Only once have I stayed in a hotel with a two-story room (Victoria, B.C.) and it was lovely. Giant chocolate cookies with turn-down service, full kitchen and a two level main floor. The Taj Mahal Palace was tastefully decorated and your room was more like a nice apartment than a hotel. Again, my thanks for your detailed video tour, English subtitles, and food/menu close ups.

It is Gateway of India not India Gate. India Gate is a war memorial in Delhi. People often get confused about the two.

My partner and I stayed at the Bell Tower room during my first staycation in Mumbai and on our 2nd staycation, we got upgraded to another suite facing the gate of Mumbai. Love the hospitality there.

卒業旅行でインド行きました。ここに最終日一番やすい部屋に宿泊予定だったけどダブルブッキングで。お詫びとしてこのホテルの一番すごい部屋見せてもらい他の五つ星のスイートに泊めてもらいました。こちらではお茶、ご飯と伝統舞踊を観ました。30年前なので曖昧ですが、見学した部屋は螺鈿細工の家具や宝石がついた孔雀のブランコ、噴水がお部屋にあったりすごかったです。白い大理石のロビーで美味しい紅茶、ラッシー飲んだの覚えています。また舞踊が凄くて皆んな感動して泣いてた。ご飯も超美味しくて世界一のインド料理だといまだに思います。思い出させていただきありがとうございます。お部屋がゆったりしていたり、ビュッフェはお食事バリエーション沢山あって素晴らしいですね、みんなおばさんになったけどあの時の友達誘って行きたいです。

Gateway of India, in and out. Elegant hotel, but the smell of dirty water front is very close. India is a different world, in every sense. In good and bad. Indian luxury is that too.

Smell of dirty water? There is no such smell there I can assure you. The color of the water is not due to pollution btw. It’s brackish water. I can tell you’ve never been there. Probably can’t afford a stay either.

Most of the part is true. But there was no such smell near taj. I stayed once, by looking it from far away, I thought it was polluted and sticky, but it's not, I went near it and it's the actual color comes from soil beneath it. It won't smell.
