The only reason this couple is famous is due to Tajdars actor. You might say his dialogues and direction should also be appreciated but NO. This couple shows that if the actor isn’t good, then no big directors or writers can help. I watched the show but something was missing, after watching I realized it’s her same toned voice, expressionless acting. She acts like shraddha in tjmm, and Yami in kaabil. This character in a way was a main character. Buttahas incredible acting saved it

I truly wish SLB had taken someone else for the role of Alam.. as it was an important part of the story and Sharmin absolutely didn't do justice. I wonder how he missed that while directing! He could have at least pushed her to do better.

@anurules it was due to nepotism. I truly understand that. But even with nepotism he could've trained her more. He made Richa practice/ do some 99 takes for her dance just to make it "perfect". Then why couldn't he train her acting a little more. Even Athiya shettys debut was horrible, but she learned and did a commendable job in MOtichoor. This was the worst decision of Bhansali. This show didn't reach its peak due to Sharmins acting. Literally nobody is talking abt anything else but her. Again, she in a way was a main character. In this case they should've made Aditi as Alam. She did an incredible job as Bibbo

I felt for tajdar. He was written very well. The way he went to bagawat for his country. He decided to let her go after learning she’s a tawaif. Was very realistic. He absolutely hated heeramandi, so I hate how ppl think he’s selfish. He hated that place and the women that did stuff like that. It was a constant cycle of abuse. Maybe he saw his own mother suffer due to his father visiting such places. But Alam happen to be the main begums daughter. Yes he did bewafai, by saying he won’t marry a tawaif. But again 35 crore ppl, vs his love. He chose his country. Similar to Sehmat in Raazi. People accept Sehmat, but not Tajdar. His death was so hard to watch. I knew he will not come on time, but didn’t expect his death. I wish I saw ashfaque weeping instead of being deceive by the British once again.

The thing is that in Raazi from the very beginning it was just for the country not for love there's no love she went there with a different agenda so many ppl do that it's not only sehmat every country has these spies and sehmat's husband was true to his country it was patriotism before anything..on the other hand here I agree that Tajdar was a great person who chose to fought but he fell for Alam and Alam didn't try to deceive him as well it was organic and when he came to know that she was a tawaif's daughter his practical approach became greater then that love n all he realised he wants to join freedom fighters later, Alam n his sister they didn't actually like cowards too Alam didn't reveal about Tajdar to those officers.. Alam's sister who was helping freedom fighters from the very beginning she martyred as well u should hv praised her as well..Tajdar hated heeramandi n those women but his own grand mother wanted to send him there..how did this heeramandi thing started ? This all functioned bcz ppl like his father used women for pleasure n left, ppl in every situation exploited women or sold them ! He shouldn't hv hated without understanding the root cause bcz the cause is there in society ppl try to act best on their part when they fight with others but when it comes to own ppl they can't stand still n fight against the worst things... though I agree the situations n time was something different and Hating Tajdar is stupidity there's no point

Nah mannn!!! Her eyes have no shine... See each and every scene.. She has the same tone, same empty eyes and same smile. Nothing else. There are some people like this in real life but acting is different.. If you show 100% emotion.. Only 50% would be caught by the audience. So you need to be dramatic. Okay if she doesn't show emotion before her family but with Taj?? There also she didn't show any emotion. Okay go and watch the scene where she is like -" Yeh khat padh ke aapne hamara dil tod diya" She was so undertoned. Nepo product. She failed before the acting of Taj.

It's not hating, it's just that her acting wasn't even acting. I mean, she only had one or maybe even two expressions in the whole series. She was not able to portray the character's emotions correctly. No matter what happened she was always smiling, I mean like no mater what. It was as if she did not know any other expressions. She gave me th feeling as if she were one of those actors that are casted because of their pocket money or connections and not acting.

Sharmin potrayed what all was needed by the character and may be that's why SLB continued with her. I don't think that he would have compromised the scenes if she wasn't acting perfectly. The character needed Alam to be lost in beautiful thoughts, world of gazals and shayari's. Also her face is also smiling. That's why you all are thinking that it is expressionless or she was smiling the whole series. She did a beautiful job. I really loved her character and acting. ❤️
