Very cool T! What a trick that is to get the copper wire in between the palethetic case and the screw to make the right contact! Then just screw the other end with the same kind of connector to the frame. It's Quiet now!! Thank You!! Steve in Florida!! happy new Year Bro!!

Beautiful Takamine, I recently bought a 1988 with the same pick up. It’s the best Tak I owned and I have 8 including 2 new models but they don’t make them like they used to .

I never had hum ........but low output and crackling noise. Took out and cleaned all metal parts with silver cleaner....... It now works like new.

Good info video by you actually I'm facing same issue noise humm ground issue so do I need to change saddle pick up or there can be issue in pre-amp also??.??.?

Yep, those old Tak piezos where probably state of the art in late 70's early 80's and still are good if they work and have even output. I have an old FP 360, no hum like yours but does have the uneven output issue. Thanks for the video I'll give that a try.

I have a takamine and when fix the pickup the Sound can’t listen I tried to fix the piezo eléctrico but I don’t tried clean the metal parts I thing wich the problem is there I try again

Yes. Not all the strings have to be grounded. At least mine didn't. Still no hum after all this time.
