Dylan Kennedy From what I understand they are waiting to see how sales and reception of Star Saber go before committing to a Victory Leo. Signs of them working in the engineering beforehand are a good sign though and even looking at the backpack I can sort of see how it'd work. I'd personally like for this to be a jump off for the Masterpiece line as I'd like to see a Dai Atlas (and Sonic Bomber & Roadfire).

Remember that "Brain" is actually supposed to be the size of an average Autobot soldier AT MINIMUM. While none of the Transformers series have been stellar in regards to scale, the relative sizes of the Brainmasters to their combined forms actually is. When Saber takes Jean to school on Earth, his 1st combined mode is already gigantic in comparison to the 5/6 story school. Remember that *that* form actually becomes the chest for Star Saber... People get confused at his scale because they simply reused the animation models (sans the head for Star/Saber) from the combined mode for all the Brainmaster bodies.

Baltmartrix great review ...very excited to receive MP Star Saber tomorrow. I was on the fence at first probably like most G1 80's kids looking really only to collect the G1 MP's. However I caught up on some Victory episodes and now am very happy to know Star Saber will be behind IKEA glass lol. I do want some Reprolabel love and if not I will pull loose stickers and customize a bit. All and all a great addition. Today Takara announced an Official MP BlueStreak YES!!!!!! Til all are one!

Starsaber is bloody amazing. How about "gnarlsome"??? As for lil' Saber, I'd say he's on par with Classics era Voyagers (he's about the same height as Classics Optimus and maybe the new Siege Optimus). Combined, Starsaber could go toe to toe with the likes of Perfect Grade Gundams or even older larger Leader class figures like RotF Optimus. As for the combination, the easiest way to do it is to press and hold the release button on the back, then slip Saber into the V-Star. And a two-handed sword stance is zweihänder, dual wielding is having a weapon in each hand.

Thank you so much this is the review I've been waiting for. I've been on the fence concerning this figure since it was announced. Having only seen one or two episodes of Transformers Victory I had no real affinity for the character but always thought he looked cool. I recently bought the DVDS of Victory and plan on watching but haven't got around to it yet. Anyway after seeing this review I absolutely need this figure. The look and engineering are amazing. Since my birthday is coming up in May I know what my girlfriend is getting me. Anyway thanks for the great reviews and keep up the great work.

Saber can hold the laser rifle but not well. It pegs in beautifully but crooked, you can't pose the arm/wrist so the laser points straight. It's a shame because from all the Victory clips I've seen the laser is Saber's main weapon. Leave the sword to the big guy ya know?
