Anyone got any suggestions for pianists similar to Yoshimatsu? All of the ones that are coming up online I've already heard of (typical impressionism composers) or are just a completely different vibe.

A similar composer to Yoshimatsu I'm aware of is Masashi Hamauzu, he is mostly known for composing for some of the Final Fantasy video games and he has quite the lovely piano works.. I recommend you check out his Etudes and other works from his Piano Pieces album from 1999.

haha good shout. Already aware of him, too unfortunately. I discovered Yoshimatsu after searching for Japanese impressionism composers after being blown away by Tears of the Kingdom's music - I feel like his music shares a lot of similarities with TOTK and BOTW, as well as traits commonly featured in Japanese vgm in general! @@musicboiscores

Relative of a friend of mine was in Japan, they bought the score in Japan and had it sent to my friend, then my friend scanned the score and sent it to me for use in this score-video.
