Toki: I'm in a band. Unnamed guy: That's cool! What instrument do you play? Toki: uh, "FUCK YEAAAAH!" and "OI!" All jokes aside though, I love the grit in Toki's voice. It sounds powerful together with Kuze's range.
Well, it's done, then. BABYMETAL has a monopoly of the guitar gods in frickin' Japan!! That's it. Game over. Everybody else can go home. :-D
@MetalAnimeGames6 жыл бұрын
Wai-Sun Chia true!!! The fact though that a band like babymetal can consistently recruit guitarists like that tells me that the metal scene in japan doesn't really create much for them financially. It sounds like a huge chance (due to the international success of babymetal) to make some decent money. Other than that each one of them could easily have his own career individually.

@pestlegion - There are places you can make something of a living with metal, but it certainly does seem to have a double-edged curse on it which makes it hard to get really popular. Either the genre itself has low popularity in a region (but it's a bit easier to stand out), or it's somewhat popular, but there are so many bands doing generally the same thing that it's difficult to really stand out. The metal situation seems to get stuck alternating between those. :\

@@MetalAnimeGames you don't seem to know anything First of all, the metal genre is dying out worldwide. Japan has a higher demand for rock music than other countries. No other country has metal bands or all female metal bands popping up one after another like Japan does. Japan is the only country where the ranking charts are not dominated by hip-hop and R&B.
@novrinkov0053 Жыл бұрын
@@MetalAnimeGames Japan has the second largest music market in the world. Even if several European countries combine, they cannot beat the Japanese music market alone. They can make a lot of money if they sell even a small amount domestically. This is the reason why Japanese musician does not actively advertise and promote overseas. So they don't need money from abroad. kpop advertises overseas because the domestic market is small unlike Japan. Japanese musician can earn more by selling domestically than by spending money advertising overseas. To put it bluntly, Japanese musicians make more money than European musicians. America is the only country with a bigger music market than Japan. It is necessary for European musicians to seek money and promote themselves in Japan. But Japanese musicians don't need their overseas promotion.

Y en este caso, he escuchado músicos ingleses, yanquis, alemanes, finlandeses, holandeses, pero jamás creí que Japón superara la vara de Loudness, mediocre para mí gusto. Esta banda además de Takayoshi, tiene un excelente cantante.
