Takbo Para Sa West Philippine Sea

"Takbo Para sa West Philippine Sea" is a nationwide advocacy run series in the Philippines. This event aims to rally public support for the Philippines’ fight to uphold its sovereignty and maritime rights in the West Philippine Sea.
The event was organized by RUNRIO Inc. along with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), National Task Force-West Philippine Sea, Philippine Information Agency (PIA), and the Presidential Communications Office (PCO). The run was held in three locations: Metro Manila, Cebu City, and Cagayan de Oro.
The first run was held on July 7, 2024, at the SM MOA Complex in Metro Manila. Over 7,000 Filipinos from all walks of life participated in the event. The revenue of the advocacy run was used to support the comic book project entitled “Ang mga Kuwento ni Teacher Jun,” which talks about issues on the West Philippine Sea.
The event not only promotes physical fitness and camaraderie but also fosters a deeper understanding of the importance of safeguarding the nation's territorial integrity. All proceeds of the event will fund the West Philippines Sea education campaign.
