A lot of operators are overpowered in BETA. Kal sit, skyfire with infinite meteors. Silence with 3 drones etc. BUT the enemies is overpowered as well and level is much more difficult. For example ALL the bosses have 3-4 times more HP, ATK, DF then bosses right now. Which is why Arknights had really really low rating in beta. EVERYTHING IS HARDCORE

I would rather if we get to unlock her in a later story chapter with a super hard boss fight. That way, Kal'sit joining your squad would symbolize her finally able to entrust her life to you and accept you as a new doctor. Although, Hypergryph knows how much people are willing to spend money just to recruit her. But the point is it not makes sense, he was field commander (in military roughly equal to liutenant, since his battle group consist of multiple squad, and no higher command than squad leader in game). Being a field commander, doctor was a priority target,so he should know how to defend himself, or at last buy time so his combat group can come and help him. Ensuring his group stay alive as long as possible are equally important, since this means he can stay alive longer,and because he have reputation to be skilled combat leader means he was know what to do in combat situation. The main reason doctor was speculated as healer operator, as it fit this role better than operator that was combat oriented. Another point is, healer are not specific role (gummy, saria for example, are defender capable to healing teams) so doctor can be combatant that know healing technique, and it give more room for speculation error.

Seems like in this version damage are not fixed, not just atk - def = dmg, but there is some random factors to multiply with. This is because Gummy, having a higher def and also a higher hp than Cardigan, got 1 shotted but Cardigan didn't. Also from the video it seems that the enemy defender's atk range from 1800 to 2200, which is more than 3x of what he is now (Big Bob's atk is only 1900 btw).

Honestly there are like 2 things that could be easily reworked to add Kal'tsit back into the game so she will be great but not broken 1: Make her E1 range like a normal ST Medic or change it to long range Medic style like Ceylon with reduced healing at the edge tiles allowing for better use of second passive 2: Lower Mon3ter's defense so it's not so busted (although this was from beta Mon3ter did have a defense similar to Cuora in this video)

Theyre not gonna add her in. If they did they'd have to make operator logs, voicelines (a distinct character), and give the player the choice of making her seem weak. These would kinda screw with Kal'tsit's plot utility of "the mysterious all powerful high ranking person". Then again, they did give players the possibility of controling Amiya's Chimera (activating skill 3), so who knows
