That Alleluia they did was written by Randall Thompson, and i have never heard it quite like this, but then again it is Take 6, and would expect nothing less. OUTSTANDING!

If Take 6 and music of this level was part of normal church, I would go every night. If there was every an expression of goodness and meaning for life, it is this.

I just happened to read some (too many) of the comments. I'm not SDA, but I am a Christian, So I'm confused as to what the argument is about. None of the songs they sang appeared to be secular to me. Just spiritual. In fact, most of the comments don't reflect the video at all. I only see six men singing to the Lord at a church. Just know that being super critical (I won't say hypocritical because I'm far perfect myself), it can be bad for your health! Stay happy!!

How is that possible that that was the 1st time that Take 6 has sang in THAT church??? Their music and ministry came into conception there on that campus. And everybody in that church over the recent years know they all got their albums or listen to their music in their homes and know their songs. We gotta do better!

Maybe God had them in that place to lift someone's spirits. You cannot limit how God speaks to people. We are all different and our ears for God are unique and specifically designed to speak to each one of us just as unique as is needed. Maybe it doesn't speak to you but to put it out there as if no one should be able to hear this during service is hypocritical. All good things come from God and these voices are beautiful. One thing that is constant in the bible is that God meets us where we are and meets all our needs. Some times its discipline sometimes its to comfort and sometimes its to entertain. That doesn't make God any less God. Psalm 100 make a joyful noise unto our Lord. Ephesians 5:19 address each other with singing. 1corinthians 14:15 praise with your heart mind and soul.

Brothers and sisters, I grew up seventh-day Adventist and what I, personally, experienced is that the aforementioned denomination is just that, a man-made denomination. And, furthermore, there is a projected, unmerited self-righteousness that abhorrently thrusted upon fellow members and those associated with other man-made denominations. I will not carry on, but I say this... Christ came to atone for everyone who's except Him. We must work out our own salvation! In the words of one of my great professors, "you may not be doing what I'm doing, but you're doing something!" Hippocrates, please take several seats!

This is part 2... Now I believe what the word of God says... We should not settle for the world's trinkets. We are, who are believers, are misfits (peculiar people), and, if you are human, I pity the fool who casts himself in a more perfect light. That's Satan's playground... trust me!

There's a number of venues on the campus where they studied. They sang at most of them but never at the main church. So that was the first he mentioned.

You probably wouldn't see God if he stood before you. You would probably concur with the Pharisee's opinion of Jesus and completely miss this individual from Nazareth that hangs out with tax collectors, prostitutes and other sinners. God bless you brother

Great performing from Take 6 ! They are really gifted ! But I'm wondering is it the true worship that God asks us ?! I'm not judging people, I'm just looking at the facts ! It's the Divine Service I used to know it's sacred caratere where God meets his people; you can't bring secular into the Holyness of God's temple ! It's great to have Take 6 as guests, for any kind of program, concert, but for the meditation song, before the preach, I find unapropriate ! I'm a musician also, and I'm seventh-day Adventist, I'm proud of our history, of what God lead us through history, but we have to remember above all, our true Identity : "We are the People of the Holy Book who have to live and share the Three Angels Message to the World". There's nothing greater than people who's seeking God, worship him, give him the Praise He Deserves, cause Sabbath is the greatest event in week, but also, a people who's connect to the World of God ! Please breathren, don't take me as a Pharisee if I say that, but how can you expect to have a powerful sermon for the people of God to lead it to the right way if you just invite the secular group singing some good negro-spiritual with its worldly trend (piercing at ear) at the pulpit where the sermon to tell how we should handle our christian life as second coming of Jesus is nearer, will be giving in few minuts? Don't you find it some weird or confusing ? Think about it !

Think about it! Sounds like a dead end questions. Am a Seventh Day Adventist too and am very tired of the way SDA members act like Pharisees. That's why I am very greatfull that other Churches (Non SDA) use me as a conductor and work as Music department. They feel so blessed when am working there. SDA Church never use me and thinking that am so this and so that. But, am still a SDA member and going to church in Sabbath 😉 and working in Sunday Church. The People this is the first time I’ve ever seen someone openly say that SDA’s resemble the Pharisees! I agree with you 100%! They the word of God, but they don’t always know how to share it - with Love in their hearts! Having said all of that, I’m British, so we’re a little bit more reserved in our worship (sometimes quite lifeless, not always but, sometimes), so given their extensive catalogue of songs, I would have thought that they would have chosen a more sober song. Having said that, there was nothing secular about this song, if you are willing to listen to the words, it’s quite deep. Make a joyful noise unto The Lord. Looking on from the outside, we have NO IDEA what the Spirit and atmosphere of the day and the service was like. This may have been highly appropriate given the circumstances. So we should just enjoy it and praise The Lord!

Im from the UK too and I love Take 6, however I have to agree with the comment about being respectful regarding the wearing of earrings! I don't think it's being pharisaical in making the point. In my home church the worship ministers do not wear jewellery. Period. When I came from catholism to Adventism I stopped wearing jewellery as it was the church's standard.
