I've never used an embroidery machine, but I'm interested with this machine. Does this have a steep learning curve? Or should I start with a smaller embroidery machine before I move up to multi-needle / industrial type?

Learning embroidery follows a straightforward process: you select a design, choose the appropriate stabilizer for your fabric, and then hoop it all together, so it's the same on all types of embroidery machines. is this better than halo-100 ?

Hi, Both the Halo-X and Halo-100 are excellent and honestly one isn't better than the other. However the Halo-X is less expensive although has only 10 needles compared to 12 on the Halo-100. The Halo-X does have a slight larger embroidery area of 360 x 240mm compared to 320 x 240mm on the Halo-100. The Halo-X does have more space under the arm of the machine due to the design of the frame drive system, which can be an advantage for people who plan to embroider, larger quilt panels and jacket backs etc. The Halo-100 is a gantry style and is a little better suited to bulky items like sports bags - but for most applications they both work brilliantly.
