I LOVE the Care Bears franchise as it was a huge part of my childhood, and the instant Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 revealed the main antagonists would be a Care Bears parody, I KNEW I had to write a song about these little goobers. A couple months work later, and here we are!
Many things inspired this number, with the original 80s Care Bears tunes being the biggest one. I watched FIVE HOURS of Care Bears over and over just to make sure I got it right. I hope you all enjoy this Trip (heheh) through Memory Lane!

I watched this and had an idea. You know how a lot of kids' shows have a couple creepy moments that could be traumatizing? That ending section where we saw that Dogday won could be one of those moments. Imagine if instead of fully removing Catnap from all sources, Playtime Co. just removed the plush of the character, and kept him in the show not as a main character, but as the next antagonist.

I especially like the little details of how cartoonish the situation got once we entered dogday’s dream. CatNap’s sudden ability to turn the sleepers into monsters, DogDay’s suddenly gained super-saiyan powers (Why didn’t he use them on CatNap instead of trying to hit him with the bone? Because he doesn’t have them), CatNap’s over exaggerated defeat scene, and everybody suddenly admiring and thanking DogDay for rescuing them from the dreams when they hated him for it earlier. It’s because CatNap knew that what DogDay wanted was him gone and things back to normal, and that’s how he would get it.

It actually makes so much sense for Catnap having such an calm voice. Since his characteristic is to put people to sleep, his pleasant voice also helps to create a calmer atmosphere at the Critters. Moreover, his voice is not only soothing but also mysterious and melancholic at the same time. Gosh, couldn‘t have thought of a better voice for Catnap, then this one 💜 But I also have to ask, how many people have worked on this project? Because everytime there‘s an cutscene the whole artstyle just suddenly changes and if my theory might be true I just have to say that you guys did an amazing job 😊❤

I LOVED THIS. This is a Disneyesque villian song for catnap. Its so fitting!!! Id love a part two if dog day eventually wakes up and sees the gray cheshire grinning giant catnap and the house and factory after the hour of joy. There should actually be a smiling critters kids show which is suppose to be in the 1980s. So the kids who like the characters can watch them do stuff or something. And the show can also have tiny bits of lore hidden in for the games. So the show won’t only get kids watching, but also adults because they want to know the lore of the games

My theory for this is that starting at 3:06, DogDay was actually awake until either 3:49 or 3:59, when he actually gets knocked out and he doesn't realize it, hence the gas being gone directly after that bit as well as DogDay laying on the floor directly in front of catnap at 4:33.

My theory was that he was knocked out from the very beginning when he first got Dream-Gassed, the reasoning being that the smiling critters all fall asleep in some field, but awaken in their house… or so it might seem, in DogDay’s dream.
