One of my favourite hunting memories (1991) was hunting out of a similar hut in the central NI my mates dad had built. He built it in the early 70’s meat hunting. Probably long collapsed I would think. Most interesting was the outstanding tactical siting of the huts to be close to a top hunting area while being mindful of reducing risk of detection by deer

Thanks Richard, and now we have the vandalism and destruction of later period culler and hunter huts in Te Urewera, centra/east North Island from a small militant narrow-minded group.
