Take All Root Rot (TARR) St Augustine Grass / How I Am Treating It

Currently dealing with this in St. Cloud FL. Thought the same thing, heat stress, drought, bugs....had local ag extension out, they determined TARR. I just put down an app of clearys 3336F Friday evening. In 2 weeks have to put the second app down and then will be shifting to azoxy (liquid). Couple apps of that and then will hit it with propiconazole. Then cycle back in the spring for preventative measures.

Thank you for sharing. I did an application of Heritage Sc and it seems I may have stopped the spread. Definitely paying for not having a proper fungicide plan in place. I’ll check that 3336F out.

Based on my experience those liquids will not work. Peat Moss is the only thing I have found effective.

@@barbre105 it’s tough to get good info, there are videos and posts all over the internet saying the same about peat moss. That it’s not as effective as liquid. As a DIYer it’s hard to get good concrete advice.

I had this happen last summer and reseeded in the fall and it came back again this summer. Same spot .! I used disease x at a preventative rate but still didn’t help. Gonna get a soil test done and see what is happening in the soil.

Like anything in the lawn, an ounce of preventative measure is worth a pound of protection. However, you could do everything right and still have problems. Mother nature is still undefeated. Sometimes you can not control it no matter what you do.

I have St Augustine and facing very severe condition of TARR in my front lawn. Part of the lawn has become brown to blackish brown . Applied Scott Diseaseex two weeks back and then Milorganite a week after . Dont see kuch difference. Do I reapply Disease Scott Ex as it can be applied in 14 days interval.

Thank you!… I’ll check it out! I did an application of Heritage SC almost two weeks ago, and it seems to be helping. Guess it’s time to have a fungicide regiment included in my season plan.

What type of grass did you apply the F-stop on?

@@ssesack11 @reelgreenlawn @kingkon F-Stop has the same active ingredient as Eagle Fungicide just as an fyi. Siteone/DIY has it in granular and liquid.
