Thanks for this! Exactly what I needed to know for disassembling my old electro-mechanical pinball machine prior to a move.

Thank you for making this video. I used it to move a machine it made it possible to do with one person.I had watched almost a dozen and this was one of the best videos for newcomers.

Great video -- pretty simple, but good to see the easy way. I already have a MIBS (great game!), and just purchased a Bally Hi-Lo Ace at an estate sale for $275! Excellent deal, but it is going to be a bear to get it out of the basement -- no bulkhead and a very narrow staircase up to the main floor. Thank you for posting this video.

In a pinch you can use the head as a prop, provided you take special care not to touch the backglass. Socket sizes for head bolts and original Bally leg bolts are usually 9/16, while most other original leg bolts are 5/8. When setting back up, don't forget to retrieve the line cord before bolting the head, and to replug the connectors before locking the back door and putting the game in place. Helpful video for electro transporters.

That's the way to do it! I have a Mibs in my collection of Gottlieb wedge heads. Love the game play on this back box animated game.

If I need to get a heavy EM up stairs, I'll remove the glass, playfield and also the "bottom board" and carry everything up separately. Then bring the cabinet and head up. So yeah, 5 trips, but it's not that bad. It's what to do if you don't have a helper.

Thank you very much, quick question. Sounds silly I’m sure, do you leave the glass in when transporting and also is it better to get them right side up as opposed to tipping on their back or is that ok? Thank you

I know this is old, but might help folks in the future. I remove the playfield glass and transport that vertically, inside a vehicle. Keeping it on the game is a big risk of it breaking, especially if you transport it in a heavy suspension truck or a single axle trailer.
