Great footage. Would be interesting to hear the backstory and if it was filmed during the trip when the Talk Ivy photos were taken. I have a copy of the original I found at a used book shop many years ago.

Beautiful! What's the name of the song being played, where can I listen to it?

It’s weird, because I wouldn’t associate WASPs with Jazz. The score is NYC instead of suburban Connecticut

Wonderful stuff. Can anyone enlighten me on the score?

+Ed Boersema - The original score for the 1965 Take Ivy film was from an improvised session by Japanese songwriter/jazz pianist , Hachidai Nakamura (1931-1992). The film's title was a play on Brubeck's Take Five. More info here: tinyletter.com/wdavidmarx/letters/ametora-dispatches-4-the-reviews

Produced by Kensuke Ishizu, this movie was shot in 1965 by a total of eight staff led by Shosuke Ishizu, at the home of Ivy Leaguers in the United States. The film team returned home with the film they shot. Start editing. The background music is "Let's walk up" (1961) and "Konnichiwa Akachan" (1963). Hachidai Nakamura, who took the world by storm at the time, led his own band to improvise original songs. is used. The finished film was screened in a large-scale nationwide campaign as Van Jacket's "TAKE IVY Ivy Festival Event" from August 1965, attracting many Ivy fans. From Kensuke Ishizu Encyclopedia
