The Kingsmen, Gold Circle, is the movie and British actor Mark Strong plays agent Merlin from said Kingsmen spy agency. Country Roads was his favorite song, and in the clip, Merlin sang it to distract the bad guys and give the other two agents working with him a chance to get away. At the very end of the movie, Country Roads wad played on the bagpipes as a tribute to Merlin. Great movie, you should catch it.😊

Tommy is proficient with anything with strings on it. I'm glad it was cleared up about why he sang the song. He looks really goofy in that hat. I didn't think it was possible for him to look any way but gorgeous. 😊❤

Haha ha .. I don’t know how he was able to find a Christmas red cowboy hat with trim 😂 .. that guy loves Christmas way too much .. Tommy has said that he has trouble finding hats and caps that fits his head since he’s so tall and he head are so big so seeing the cowboy hat looking like a children’s size makes giggle a bit since it’s probably full size 😀 .. but fun aside GREAT song and great cover 🔥

Tommy does a killer version of Tony MacAlpine's 'Hundreds of Thousands.' Hell, Tommy does great covers of EVERYBODY. Tons of Gary Moore(my fave) and ABBA as well. Tommy is honestly the most talented and underutilized member of Sabaton.

I always loved this song and Tommy's cover is really awesome. The Kingsman reference at the beginning threw me off too at first, I had to google who is this Merlin guy Tommy is paying homage to 😂 Cool touch btw, now I expect a tribute to Avengers' SPOILER Tony Stark, cried my eyes out on that ending

JD was the first musical artist I collected as a girl ... loved him then, still love him! Props to Tommy for giving this a unique metal slant ... JD would have loved it, I'm sure! Kind of disrespectful to John Denver in how this song represents his tribute to the beauty of American country life and Tommy uses comical visuals and clips of the death of a character in a movie as his interpretation of this song and its meaning while wearing a comical Christmas cowboy hat. I wonder why he didn't do the same with Billy Joel's Downeaster Alexa song with clips of bumbling sport fishermen losing fish, slipping on fish guts and falling overboard. Tommy is an awesome singer and does covers awesome. But on this one he missed the mark bro and badly.
